OMG I accidentally switched the power off whilst saving and my game has gone completely, when I start up it says it was corrupted or damaged and is gone - can I get it back? My finger brushed against the button and I didn't realise, OMG please help me - I had the best pokemon!

Ack ack ack, I don't want to start all over again, holy cow I had amazing pokemon from trades, breeding etc *slaps self on face* stupid stupid aaaaarghh! That will teach me to try and play my lite upside down on the sofa! oh man I am so gutted, I don't even know if I will start again.

The GBA games always had a backup save in case of problems such as this. I do not know about the DS ones.

Try soft resetting L+R select start, it should show your game again. Start it and pray you dont get the message again.

I had this happen to me and restarting it called up an older saved game. However there is a probability you will need to start over. :139:

The DS games do double save it's the basis of the GTS cloning glitch ;)

as ladychaos pointed out, the DS games do have the double save feature and it's how the GTS clone glitch works =]
