Hello all.

After playing my copy of diamond for a few days I caught myself my first drifloon!

Something inspired me about this drifloon.

It tugs on the hands of children to steal them away. However, it gets pulled around instead.

This got me thinking, enough drifloon and they can carry the child away.

With out further delay here is the start of my inspirada! I still need to add a background, but any and all feedback is appreciated.

Ink for the outline, right?

Wow, and markers? That's really impressive! The colors blend so well! I suck terribly with markers, I'm more of a color pencil person. XD And I just Googled the markers, they look sweet. :D And pricey too. >_<

You got it Nak, The markers essentially act as watercolor in easy to use format.

Based upon the feedback here, I decide I will try and make a children's story based upon the balloon monster concept.

I have already started doing a bit of research amongst children's books and movies to get a feel for story telling.

Once, I get the ball rolling I may practice writing fables for pokemon farm events when i launch my farm or possibly some fan fiction. So keep your eyes open for some creative things.

@belnumcree About 3-4 hours

I decided to draw another pokemon variant. This depicts sunflora at night resting by a shrine near a flooding river.

Btw, I'm not sure if you've seen the animated movies Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle, but I feel like the theme behind your current illustrations slightly resembles that of said movies. A mixture of purity, mystery, and fantasy I think. =D

I must be made of glass because you can see right through me. Those are some of my favorite movies! I find the world's there are incredible, so yes I guess I am heavily influenced by the mystique, and intrigue of them.

A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge from being junked. It seeks the child that disowned it.

Another addition thanks to Jhamin and Nak for their suggestions

Yeah these are awesome! They really remind me of the gritty pictures from the fairy tale books that we had when we were kids. When we were looking for books for our son before he was born, we looked for ones with this similar look.

I dislike a lot of the animation in some of the fairy tale books because if they are clean lined, it feels (at least in my head) as if your pigeon holed into thinking of this one picture in your head. If its a bit rough and gritty, it forces your mind to have to work to make sense of it a bit which stimulates the imagination much more. Plus with it being a bit rough, it feels a bit old fashioned which I love in my books and sketches.

Thank you all so much for your tremendously awesome reviews!

I would love to sell the drawings or prints of them but I am terrified of Nintendo's copyright. I would hate to get sued making fan art.

Here's my question what pokemon is next?

So per some forum members advise I have started writing a children's / graphic novel that I will illustrate.

I will say a few things about it.

1) It has a seagull with one eye in it

2) Think Alice in Wonderland, Spirited Away, Narnia, Full Metal Alchemist

I'll keep you all posted if there is interest
