hate to be so n00b but how does the dungeon games compare with the normal ones ( never played mystery dungeon), whats the gameplay like?

it's like a field game,a pokemon runs up to you,you attack it,rescue it,etc.

some of them only have certain poke so im gonna go with the one that has lucario in it since im gonna be chimchar with my partner being treecko :D:D

I'm afraid I don't have any point of reference for this game. I have read it generates dungeons randomly, which is very cool, but what type of game is it? Are tehre any games it can be compared to?
