which do you like better? smash bros melee or brawl?
i've recently gone back to melee. it's just so much more competitive and more intense than brawl is. (not that i don't like brawl anymore. they're both amazing games, i just happen to like melee more).
what do you all think?
edit: anyone know if i can put up a poll after creating a thread?

Yeah the option to add a poll is at the very bottom of the page.
I cant say since I havent even touched a Wii let alone Brawl. But I can guarantee that I will like brawl better. It looks better and has a better roster of playable characters.

I like brawl way better than melee with the exception of the loss of mewtwo. I loved playing as the psychic pokemon better than any other character, but they just had to take him out. Oh well, i guess snake is a pretty good addition, but no way will i accept lucario as the better substitute for mewtwo.

i agree mewtwo should of not been dropped but a better sub would be mew

Even though they took mewtwo out, they put in a good amount of new characters, which i love. I never would have thought snake would be put in the game, and heck they put him in. Talk about answering prayers. :)

brawl no doubt. Sonic FTW!! and then the final smashes as well. Capt. Falcon is the only one where he gets his own cinematic smash. awesome!!

I know were talking about melee or brawl but I like the classic 64 version the best. The game play is easier and it has so many different kinds of bonus rounds.

this thread went heavily overlooked.
but yah, it's been a while and we've had brawl for a much longer time than before, so i'm just wondering what people's latest opinions are on this discussion.
i personally like melee more than brawl still, just because it has pichu and i like melee kirby better than brawl kirby. but i really don't play either that much anymore. :/

I like brawl more tnen melee.
Reasons
-Brawl has online. I know its not perfect but I still enjoy playing people all over the world. Its not always that bad either. If you wanna see terrible unplayable wifi then try out DBZB tenkaichi 3. o_O
-The addition of awesome characters. DDD, MK(no matter how broken he is still the coolest character) Pokemon trainer, Wolf, Lucario, ZSSamus <3, Diddy, ROB.
-The improvment of cool characters that were not so great in melee. Bowser, Kirby, and G&W.
-the music. Best videogame soundtrack period.
-The inclusion of DDD
Only thing they did wrong. NO HITSTUN. No hitstun means almost 0 combos. There are couple combos but barely any at all.

yeah no hitstun sucks.
hit-stun = when you get hit you temporarily can't move. it was in melee and smash 64, and that's what gave the ability to "combo", where you hit you're opponent, and then you can hit them again because they can't move.
(for anyone who was wondering what hit-stun was o3o)
i also don't really like the edge, and how you automatically sweet spot the edge. it makes edge-hogging really hard. but at the same time, it makes getting back to the stage much easier.
i also don't like the proportion of character to stage in brawl. the characters are huge!! compare the size of samus on pokemon stadium (melee version) on brawl, and then on melee. it's ridiculous!
same goes for comparing the different final destinations.
also, i didn't like how easy it was to unlock everything in brawl. seriously, it gives no value to the characters. like, if you had mewtwo in melee, you felt pretty darn cool b/c it took so long to get him.
but all-in-all, brawl's a very good game that's very balanced, and definitely provides a more fun time for people who don't play competitively.

Melee is awesome!!!! I also got back into it recently, and I've learned how to do the all the techs, so going back to brawl feels weird. :D i play as falco in melee and I have one thing to say, short hop lazors FTW! :D

i like brawl the best exsept for one thing. i liked how cheap it was to be kirby cus you could use down air and launch anyone down to nothingness.

Melee for hardcore super smash fans and brawl for noobs or people who just want to play around. Also, brawl has many more inovations than its predecesors.
