Machop is an great pokemon with access to awesome attacks and an awesome attack stat to back them up. With a base attack of 80 Machop and the abilities Guts and No Guard, it can really be a terror in battle, specifically battles with unevolved pokemon. What's even more fearsome is Machop's evolution Machamp, with a base attack of 130 and decent defenses Machamp can really be a handful for your opponent to handle, especially if you can activate it's Guts ability and slap on a Choice Band, not much can switch in safely. Now, these Machop are all adamant natured (Attack+, Sp. Attack-) and will either have the No Guard or Guts ability. They will also have a maxed attack IVs, meaning if you max their attack EVs when they evolve into Machamp, they'll have a beastly attack stat of 394 at level 100. So, the Machop will have the following move set:
Thunder Punch: A decently powered electric attack that has a 10% of paralyzing the foe. It also makes your Machop at threat to water types, and completely destroys Gyarados. It also hits flyers.
Ice Punch: For all of your dragon slaying needs *coughGarchompcough*, with the added effects of hitting flying pokemon too. Also has a 10% of freezing your opponents.
Fire Punch: Hits grass, bugs, and steel types, with the added effects of a 10% chance of burning your opponents.
Close Combat: A powerful STABed attack with a base power of 120, the user's defense and special defense one stage.
And for those who are unsure about Machop's abilities:
Guts: Multiplies the attack of your pokemon by 1.5(the equivalent of a choice band boost) when it is afflicted by a status effect(Sleep, Paralysis, Burn, and Poison).
No Guard: The accuracy of all moves become 100%, meaning you can use Dynamic Punch or Stone Edge without having to fear them missing. Of course that also mean all attacks directed at Machop won't miss either. It also essentially screws over bright powder users.
