I don't really understand the point of this competition anymore. From what I see, the people who are with the 'IN' crowd only need to do it themselves or ask a mod to change their avvie to whatever. So is this competition really for us lower-class members to duke it out so that we can get a special avvie of our own or what?

I do not wish for this thread to become a debate about whether certain members deserve to have custom avatars or not.

This is my invitation to those who feel the process is somehow unfair:

Send me a PM (http://forum.pokefarm.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=430) about who you see with a custom avatar and your reasons about why you think they do not actually deserve one. I can assure you that we do not play favorites here, quite the opposite, we are much more harsh on members that we are friends with because we have a higher expectation from them. I promise not to reveal your name and I will present your argument to the admins myself as to why the custom avatar should be removed.

Wow, thanks guys! :) Sorry I haven't been on PokeFarm. My comp had some major overheating issues. I can't stay on long for that reason right now, either.

I really liked a lot of the other submissions and I wish the participants the best of luck in next months contest!

2 cents: On the whole avatar thing. I do this for the competition, not the prize of the avatar. Sure its an added bonus, but the main thing should be the sprites not the trophy of having your own icon. I'm sure if people went nuts about not having a custom icon, when they were given one they wouldn't care much about it later.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good weekend and I'm going to give this comp a rest for a bit as I try and fix it. :D

Obviously people are not wanting to let this go. So let me close this whole thing right here and now. My statement was nothing against Jay and his work. I believe that his avvie is a def. winner. And I was not refering to him at all when I mentioned the 'IN' crowd. I was also not complaining that I didn't win. Its just a fun competition. My point here was to state that there are those outside of the competition who just asked for an avvie change and received it. I honestly believe that only Gym Leaders, Mods and Admins, and those who have acheived other great feats on this forum are deserving of a custom avvie. I do NOT include myself in that category. This competition was to be for those of us who aren't gym leaders and admins to acheive a custom avvie. But, there ARE those who do not fit this group, and who have not won this competition and yet all they did was ask their "connections" to have it changed for them.

And for that coward who left me my now 2nd negative rep ever and didn't even leave a name or a way to discuss it, thanks. Thanks for completely misreading my post from 8 days ago. Thanks for getting rilled up by Jays post and bringing up something that was a dead issue to the public of this forum. And NO, I'm NOT your mate.

And if me posting my honest opinion about something and wanting to discuss it openly warrents me a negative rep, then theres some serious issue with the kids on this site. But then that reminds me, this is a kid site. Of course theres more to PF then that. I DO have friends here. I do feel somewhat apart of a community. But that community is obviously secondary to the services provided to kids who log onto this site daily. So I now question the point behind me posting this rant. If I am just talking to children, then there really is no point. But I've already spent the time and effort here, so we'll just have to deal with it.

Everyone with a custom avy got it for a reason not just by asking. Whether it was for making the new badges(pokemasterSD) being senior members of pokefarm(Kay/Vowl) or being a mod/admin/8 badge winner. Im thinking a couple should be reconsidered though so theres no more debate on this.

EDIT:gotta close this since im starting the new thead. I dont want this being bumbed.
