Hmmm maybe Kansas? but I like the ckiconaut but I noticed that on its head it still has some mark from the movement from chikorita's head and to wynaut's head... you gotta claen those ones up...just some constructive critisizm

Trust me computer art is all I can do I am..."artisticly inclined..." and I've only been doing this for a month now...

@Mikona: what type is it? maybe you could add more type features...maybe an electric type? with lightningbolt arms?

well That sounds cool:cool: the only thing is the type swithing is a little confusing...and the flying I think you should keep so...

1st: flying..cloud thing...add darkness to the place across from the eyes...
2nd:flying/water...add raindrops to the bottom and alittle darker maybe?
3rd:flying/electric...add thunderbolt hands(three fingers?) and even darker?

and I know this is for Buzz's thing so make it's own move? maybe an Uber storm?

That'd be awesome. Actually, I sprited the other two, but as of yet they stink. The second stage has some rain, and it still has the tail whisp. The third stage is quite dark, had electricity all over it, and the whisp is replaced with a giant lightning bolt. I'll have to post them, but I want to tweak them a bit more.

Oh, and if you have any suggestions for drawing faces, it'd be appreciated. I used Cleffa's face for this one, and I used the mouth off of Larvitar for my second one...but I'd rather they be completely scratch...

Ok...here we go:)...The second stage has a great body shape but I feel it's not...puffy enough...and The face is good but I would centre it more...and the arms thicker..add some droplets to the bottom maybe?

Now the 3rd stage...I feel it has too much yellow in the centre...and maybe have it a large puff with side ways ligthningbolts with 3 sprout fingers...and the colour is good and the tail maybe not down but sideways out? evil face good...and know that almost all pokémon are facing left.

I hope you know that this is all constructive critisizm and you don't have to follow my suggestions.

Ah, thanks for the suggestions. I'll get right on that and post the updated sprites. And I actually think that my 3rd stage is the only sprite I drew in the line that did face left...I'll have to fix that.

Practice, tutorials, practice and...um...patients so we can practice? At least, that's how it is with me. I read some tutorials like...say...this one (http://www.dragonflycave.com/recoloring.aspx), and then I practiced.

Imageshack wouldn't upload the images and I don't know why. They are .jpeg's, too. maybe it has to do with the fact that I have a mac. unless someone else out there is successfully using a mac.

Thats great but if you look at her dress areas where there should be black are not there...so I'm guessing that the sprite came with a black background and you didn't replace the black that was suposed to be there...

Cereal Gal the only thing I have to say is when you are doing trainer sprites you want to shadow to opposite where the trainer is looking...and another thing to remember is to make a outline of the fusion areas to make it look like clothing, otherwise it looks very odd.

This is how I think Roark feels. He is in his father's shadow and his father is always glaring down on him in a very judgemental way. Just think of how Byron refers to Roark in the game. It's quite sad. So this is my tribute to Roark. May he always keep such a positive outlook and cheery demenor dispite living in the shadow.

Well it could be the format you're saving in. I usually save in .PNG format rather than GIF or JPEG.

Only maybe, I know that GIF files tend to be more rough-looking than PNG files.

To save in a different format, go 'Save As' and select something else from the drop-down menu. Paint automatically goes BMP, (bitmap) but I like PNG a lot better.

PNG shows it Pixel by pixel...and doesn't change some colours to corespond to the one beside it, therefore it doesn't make it blurry...there should be two boxes when you save...a box for name...and a drop box below, use the drop box to select PNG, usually the last one down...It looks like this...:

I'm no artist, and I have to admit that I don't like contrasting colours. Ho-oh wings are pretty hard to work with though, they take a lot of patience. But not many winged pokemon have their wings in a position where I can use them to sprite with.

Ok...seeing as this morning, we wasted some time alking about names, and the masculinity/femininity of them, I'll post some art...
Ill tell a story first. *ahem* Little Suzy always wanted a smoochum, but her parents said they live in a place too hot for a Smoochum. Suzy tried and tried to convince her parents to get her one, bbut they kept on rejecting the idea. One day when Suzy got home, her parents were at the door with a Pokéball in their hand. They told Suzy they got her a pokémon. When Suzy opend the Pokéball, ther it was a..a...a....Magby -.-. Suzy was furious she screamed at her parents, I WANT A SMOOCHUM!! I WANT ONE!!!! Her magby was terified, and ran away. They found the magby sitting on Suzy's bed, looking very sad. So Suzy decided to cheer the magby up, she said "Let's play dress up!" Well, Iggy has been having some hair problems lately.... So he wears a scarf to help cover up some of the craziness. lol I didn't have time to add sunglasses, but I might make one later where he's wearing cool shades and giveing a thumbs up.

Well, I can't see them here on my work computer, but from what I remember it was the upper most one that I liked the most.

I kept saying to myself that I wanted to learn spriting and that I wasn't so creative...blah blah blah.

So, I said to myself "you haven't even tried it yet and you're giving up?"

Then I wanted to make a trainercard...riiight. And I didn't want an awful pokecharm one with the address down below...

As I was sorting through the list of options from which to choose from I noticed none of them fit the bill. They were either not what I liked or they were ugly.
This was the case for the Fisherman in his horrible orange vest.

So...I was stuck with no sprite trainer for a trainercard. Hmm.

Being inspired to create a sprite trainer for myself I set off to create a Fisherman. One that not only I could use but if anyone else wanted to they could as well.
I made this a couple weeks ago and was hesitant to show it off, because...well let's face it. I'm not very good.

TribalDan: I like it a lot. The blue looks a lot better than the orange. Although, I can explain the reasoning behind that (Or at least what I think the reasoning is). The color you're supposed to wear when hunting, and I think fishing, is blaze orange, so you can be seen by your buddies so they don't shoot, and also so you can be found if you do get hurt. That's probably why they make him orange. It doesn't change the fact that he looks better in blue.

yeah, hauntoms my fave aswell, i was lloking at aunter trying to see what i could fuse it with, then i realized the hands had the same glowy thing as rotom, and thus, Hauntom was born :D

Oh yeh. I know the orange vest rule. I live in the country and all people do around here is fish and hunt. But it's something like 75% or so that don't use the orange vest. So I opted for a better look with a little bit of style.
