I believe I will start a new thread and get rid of some of the clutter. I just remembered why I stopped doing a calender in the Beacon Gym. I started it again in this gym, but the pain of constantly editing for new scheduled battles, new months, and the fact that even I forget to check it for scheduled battles. :oops:

So I will keep all scheduled battles posted in the first post of all gym discussion threads.

Nice battle Cinder. You may claim one of the Anorith as an extra prize if you wish.

You had good tactics and switched really well, I think you will do fine on your league tour.

Really close battle S tailor. I don't really know what to say though. That team is a League team for sure.

Wow another bug battle beat down.

Nice battle wicked_rapture. Had me grasping at straws at the end.

One thing I am learning with a team of NU/UU Pokémon up against OU Pokémon, I cannot make mental mistakes. If I stay mistake free I only have to get the stats into battle. With lower stats a mistake can wipe out my entire team.

I have cleaned up the request pool of anyone with a request over a week old. The 4 left have expressed interest in still battling.

I have updated the first post to show who is still in the request pool.

Also I was thinking of trying to revive the Field Journal in this gym.

Nice battle cisco. I believe that was the first battle that I did not see an OU Pokémon on a team.

Not saying that is bad, I will battle 6 OU if the people bring them.

You had one Pokémon that really scared me and it was not the U-Turner. I figured my Ling Ling would do his job against that. Your Bug is what had me nervous. When it's HP stopped on like 3 HP, I knew you would be healing that turn and I was like :(:(:(:( 3 HP and he gets to heal. I thought for sure I would fall to the my status infliction before KOing him. Critical hit saved my butt.


I love my NU/UU he-he.

Really a good team though. Your lead was a beast and that one I OHKO'd, would have destroyed half my team if I did not have that little surprise on Ling Ling.

For a first battle against me that was awesome. The only downside to your team was that my team is geared to take down a few of the big guys on your team. I figured if I was going to use bugs they had to be able to faint monster.

Another thing I found odd was when you froze me, I instantly thawed and I wonder if that was due to the sandstorm or by a chance of luck?

Seriously I did not see any major holes in your team.

Thank you Buzz, no holes, are you kidding? I was jumping up and down when your poke froze and then it thawed, it was instant, oh no I'm toast:lol: Well I will battle you again and very soon. I may change one or two things:wink: Your team is awesome, not only is it effective I like the mix.

I don't want to give away your team, but that sandstorm worked to my advantage with one of my Pokémon as well.

I am still unclear about the instant thaw. I have looked at a few sites and see nothing about not being able to be frozen doing sandstorm. Sunny Day you cannot be frozen.

I wonder if it checks before your turn and even though I was frozen that turn, I moved second and the coin flip was in my favor?

Man so many things from that battle has me thinking and I feel a night of research coming up.

That is the ideal battle. One that makes you learn something new or research until you do.

That battle moves into my top 10. Counter after counter on both sides.

Your Ultima had me scared. Last time I faced one I was swept 0-6 by Nak. I had a Pokémon in reserve just for another one, but I shockingly did not have to use it.

I need a break after that battle. My nerves are shot and my mind is exhausted.

Great battle.
