There are many ways that you can apoint a gym leader, so it'll be interesting to see how the powers that be decide to do it. I'm sure that we'll get a qualified person no matter how it's chosen. :-D

Maybe they'll chose only on the basis of who is most like Chuck Norris. :P

It came up when I was talking to some of my friends, and it sounded like there are a lot of different ideas floating around on how to choose the next gym leader. So we'll see what happens.

With the last gym resignation the gym leader was just chosen...no special contest....Well I don't think there will be a contest...because the strongest battler isn't the best Gym leader, The strongest battler might not have time to be a gym leader so the League will not have a tournament for gym leader...

Yeah, and choosing by popularity might not get you the best leader either, same with just choosing somebody you think will be a good leader. There isn't any perfect way, so you just have to choose one and hope for the best. :-D Nak is going to be a very hard person to replace. I wish I had gotten around to challenging the gyms before she left.

Nak was a good leader....I was going to challenge all gyms this summer...but seeing as 2 gyms are temporaraly unable to battle....and 1 wont be good for even longer....(new leader has to make his/her team....) I wont be challenging anytime soon...

There are still other leaders that you can challenge. :hug: Go after Belnumcree or FatherGoblin and beat down on the old men. lol If/when I challenge the gyms, I'll probibly do theirs first. Belnum's just because, and FG's because he's been bugging me to do it for quite some time now.

There has been a long list of candidates, but I have always tried to push in the past for the gyms assistant to take over. I think that is only fair. What is the point of being an assistant it you have no chance in being the next gym leader?

It is kinda like if something would happen to the President and then congress would vote in a new President instead of the Vice-President taking over.

Tournament just sounds like you could give the Fen gym a completely new beggining, and c'mon who wouldn't like to see pokefarm's best battlers battling eachother out for a gym leader position:D. But if the tournament is there you should have limitations on who could enter.You wouldn't want a member who logs in once a week to be your new Fen gym leadear.
