So Quiet!

How come the gyms are so quiet? Are people scared of the current gym leaders? I mean yes there strong but everyone can have the right luck.

I'm not scared I'm just waiting for a time which we can battle. I am capable of beating the gyms but Time constrants mean it is virtually impossible for me

I'm breeding my team so I can go for the shiny badges. But everytime I breed a member I get the urge of breeding more and making it a farm event. =/

really, it is not that quiet. there have been quite an activity in various gyms. you only see a few posted in the thread but that's because there are a few challengers who either have wifi problems or can't keep their scheduled battles.

People who already have the badge but wishes to battle for Shiny badge can't leave a request in Join group except to PM the Gym leader.

I'm not sure if you understand this site yet, but let me help you out :wink:

For starters, if someone post something that you don't agree with, it would be a best thing for you to "nicely" disagree.
Second, it would be for your own good not to put a "red" angry face on your comment :sad: people could think that you are being mean and hateful, and you wouldn't want that.
Last, if you have a problem with someone (or something), please take it to an Admin or Mod, let them take care of it :)

I'm still working on a proper gym team. The last week+ my breeding DS has been missing so I havn't even been able to work on them. :(

I don't see a point in challenging the gyms with a team I know isn't ready. I do random pick-up matches with people who ask, but I havn't learned anything from them. Maybe someday I'll have a team I'm happy with and then I'll challenge the gyms, but until then I'll just be boring and lurk around the fan fiction section. lol :wink:

Yeah even I have a couple of challengers, it's just a matter of finding time to battle. I really try not to battle when I'm sleepy, it would be a free badge, lol!

Your forgeting that I'm also going for the badges. The rate I'm going at, I *could* (probabaly not though) have them all before the end of next week. Thats not going to happen because I am going on holiday so in that time, I can become even more potent. :EVILLE: MUHAHAHA! I Think Old Man is pretty busy. Just for clarification, the rule of Level 50 Single Battle requires my Pokemon to be no higher than level 50 for the match, correct?

the rule of level 50 means that WIFI matches will be held at level 50, their levels will be adjusted to 50 once you go for a gym battle online (regardless if they are higher or lower in-game).

No, they can be any level and the game will use math to project their stats at lv. 50. After the match they go back to normal.

If a Gym Battle is what you seek, aaron, then go to your User CP, then click "Group Memberships" on the lefthand pane. Then, select Join Group for which Gym you want to join. You can find each Gym's typing on the main index.

As far as I'm concerned I'd say it's been a long time coming. Tell me those badges don't mean you aren't good and aren't committed. My personal thought was why is there a tournament when there is already an outrageously good candidate that more than deserves the position over all this time. Then replace the Beacon Assistant role with an up and comer.

I personally thought that was kinda the point of the assistant role...bring someone in who shows interest, groom them in the ways of the gym, etc. That way you've already got a replacement if the gym leader needs to step down for whatever reason. It seems natural to me that if the assistant is qualified, they should get first crack at the gym leader position.

Not to mention that the assistant should already have some sort of team bred too, which would reduce on down time...makes sense all the way around.

First of all, Slizer i think you have matured and grown stronger since our first battle ages ago. To me, you do have a potential to be a gym leader. However, we have to respect each gym leader's decision. Sometimes there are more behind the scenes discussion that results to a decision.
I suggested a tournament be held so that Slizer if interested may participate and we can figure out if there are any other potentially dedicated candidates.
Just to let you all know, being an assistant gym leader is not a guarantee that you will become the next gym leader as far as i know. there is a council and a judge (so to speak) on this matter.
