Shaymin can only be caught on Flower Paradise once the Seabreak Pass has appeared at the end of Route 224. What is this mail in contest you speak of?

Last year, pokemon fans sent "wishes" to the Daisuki Club's web site (http://www.pokemon.jp/portal/index.cfm) and the 100,000 winners were sent postcards that they could redeem for a Jirachi at a Japanese pokecenter or Toys-R-Us.

Then classic ribbon prevents them from being traded on the GTS. I assume that they are limiting certain pokemon as obtainable in events only and attaching classic ribbons to them. Since Regigigas can be caught in the game, they aren't worthy of the classic ribbon.

I just wanted to add that if one is diligent enough one can get an event level 50 dragonite and level 100 movie regigigas off of the GTS. Many people dont acknowledge the value of them so they will trade them for simple legendaries.
