I got the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector from Gamestop, Wal-mart sometimes has it and it is cheaper. It connects to a USB on your pc and has pretty good range. I can plug it into my pc in my upstairs computer room and go downstairs to the bathroom and it stays connected(ew kinda gross). Now this is the only Wi-Fi setup I ever had, but it works for the DS and Wii. I like it and highly recommend it.

Yea but I have Linksys, which lets me play from the whole house and even from outside a little. The USB is probably more for portability, and is probably cheaper, but it's functionality is only for the DS. If you include home networking, I highly reccomend Linksys.

I have none of that with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and it can be used by DS and the Wii. I can also use it outside on my front and back porch. Has an easy to follow disc setup and then to connect to the Wi-Fi program you just do a connection test(which is on any game that uses the Wi-Fi like Pokemon) and your good. I had to tweak mine a bit once I changed virus protection and firewall, but nothing major.

if its just ur pokemon diamond having trouble connecting then either u need to open ports on ur router (services -> firewall settings) or there is something in the wireless settings stopping ur DS from connecting (WEP and so on..)
