About to challenege the gyms...

just before I set of on my gym challenge journey, i would just like to clarify a few things [i did look through a few of the other posts but just got more confused]

1 - Do I have to use the same team for all the gyms or can I change between them?

2 - Do I have to challenge the gyms in order [Boulder gym first, etc] or can I choose the order?

3 - If I beat a gym leader, do I have to remain in that social group?

4 - I get a shiny badge if every Pokemon on my team was bred by me, correct?

You can change your team :)
2 - Do I have to challenge the gyms in order or can I choose the order?
[B]You don't have to challenge the gyms in order:)

You don't HAVE to, you can leave a social group by going to your user CP, then to Group memberships, and you can leave the social group if you want(I think you'll lose the cool badge though)

The gyms aren't easy though!!;)

its ok, i wouldnt like it if it were too easy

im just confident enough that i have a good team outline to take on the gyms.

its easier since i can change teams because you can just change your team to suit the gym =]

While that can seem tempting, It will make everything quite boring. I used the same team for the Fen and Cobble gyms with no changes and That made it alot more challanging

While that can seem tempting, It will make everything quite boring. I used the same team for the Fen and Cobble gyms with no changes and That made it alot more challanging

im not too sure about that, not for me anyway. i mean, some will stay the same, but i really like trawling through every pokemon and working out the best possible ones with the best possible move set for that gy and then breeding them. i really like that sort of stuff =]

I have also challenged the Chrysalias gym because I've wanted a Kakuna ever since Buzz made them public, and I want to test out my team against the element of surprise, and try to get somewhat of an idea of how my team will handle an unxpected UU/NU that I might not have preapared for. I'm waiting for the responses now. Wish me luck =D

Bugs arent the only UU's tho, I have been destroyed by kabutops before =p. And the Beedrill family is one of my favorite ones, I cant find a way to include them into my team tho -_-

If you really wanted a beedrill in your team, you would have one. But I think you'd see a beedrill as a liability and that's why you don't have one on your team.
I won't be able to battle until at least Tuesday because I don't have wifi access.

but uhm, kabutops are rock/water and are considered shellfish, not bug o3o

You are ,thats why I'm EV training a pokemon just to challenge you =D

And I was not referring to Kabutops as a bug, I was referring to him as a UU. I tried making a team that would be able to face every pokemon in OU, and sadly using Beedrill would mean that some pokemons would slip trough me, as there are pokemon that do beedrill's job a lot better. I will not risk a serious battle just because bedrill wasnt able to do its job as good as lets say Heracross could. I'll use one in random friednly battles, but dont expect him to see him on my team if it will be something like the league.

Well I decided to update this with my match results so far.

Cisco*Fen Badge Battle*:When you took away the effect that Cycnus sets up, I knew I was in big trouble. I tried to stall you out until all of your Great Blue counters where gone and it worked. I look forward to battling you for the EPFL =D

Allirath*Beacon Badge Battle*:This battle was tough. I got off with a bad start, and was locked to switching out. Whenever I though that Great Blue could come in ,set up, and sweep you switched to something that would stop that. Once Great Blue was down I knew it was over. I'll see you next week and I'll come with reinforcements >=].... *Not really, I'll just rethink my strategy >.>*

Deneves: I dont know what made me risk losing Pepboys so early O.O..... I should have switched out to Popobawa instead but I took the risk and failed miserably Dx. Luckly Great Blue saved the day again with some brute force and a little luck =D
