Emerald finally

Hey everyone I havent been as active as I would like to be on the forum been busy with another game and work. Well anyway back to the topic after 2 months of looking for a ruby sapphire or emerald version I finally found one emerald and I was so happy. I started the game and was going to pal-park all the starters of course then start the game. I loaded up the game got my starter pokemon torchic and caught a extra pokemon.

I put the torchic in storage and I proceed to start my diamond and when it started the migrate option wasnt there. I go back to emerald and my game was earsed. Everytime I start up my diamond version my emerald gets "corrupted". I know its not my system because I have red and green. So now I'm back on the hunt for those 3 hard to find version's. Wish me luck.

Awww, that sounds like my type of luck. :hug: I remember something similar happening to most of my PS1 memory cards back in the day... :sad:

Good luck with getting a version that works. Have you considered bringing the bad cartridge back to wherever you bought it? Maybe get an exchange or refund or something because they should have made sure it wasn't corrupted before they sold it to you.

Yeah I got it from gamestop and since I can exchange it at any gamestop. I looked online for stores that have emerald sapphire and ruby and i managed to find stores with emerald and ruby now I dont know which one I should get any suggestions?

I would get Emerald. It has more random stuff and move tudors and the battle island zone thing. But I haven't played R/S, so I can't definitively say if it's a better game.

I got my emerald used and I was very happy to find that the previous owner chose Torchic. :-D Blaziken looks like it's wearing bell-bottoms and I love it. Very cute. ^_^ But... um.. back to what I wanted to say... lol In R/S I think it's easier to sweep the E4 using only a blaziken but they changed things in Emerald so that you can't do that anymore. I'm about 90% sure that I read that somewhere.

I had the same problem when i got my used Ruby off of ebay. i returned it got my money back and bought emerald at toysrus. I dont think its a good idea to get any used versions as there are a bunch of illegitimate cartridges out there. From now on only NEW for me. More expensive but way more trust worthy

I like to gamble. lol I'm thinking about getting either R/S or another Emerald and I'll definetly want to get it used. I like to gamble. lol

Maybe I can do that tonight.... I'm hanging out with some friends and they're into gaming. I also remembered to bring my DS to work, so I will have it tonight. :-D Wish me luck in my own quest for more pokemon games.

I've had two emeralds that I bought off the internet that would give me the same message. One wouldn't save at all and the other one would save a couple times and then give me that message. I assumed they were knock off versions. They came in an original box, but unlike the emerald game I bought at the store, the sides and back of the box didn't have the shiny prisms. I don't recommend buying used versions of these games unless they come with a guarantee.

I have only bought games once through the internet (E-bay) and will never make that mistake again. There is no real way to check to see if the game is not a knock-off. The sapphire game I bought was bogus and corrupted the same way the other knock-offs do. It all looked legit, but the only real way to tell is if you have the cartridge in your hand and look inside the slot. If it does not say "nintendo" next to the gold teeth, it is not legit. From now on, if I want a used game, it will be from GameStop or GameCrazy and I will bring a flashlight and my reading glasses!

I'm betting you had this problem because the game was hacked before...the same thing happened to Vott's Firered when we were migrating his pokemon into my Diamond, he was using AR to catch pokemon and what not and then his save got corrupted...but his game was also used so I'm not too sure...

You can get that pokemon in all 3 games but haveing played all 3 emerald is more fun becaus of the rare pokemon.

Yeah, Emerald has the most legendaries of the three so that's why I went for it. :-D

I bought Pokemon Ranger today. Haven't played it yet, but I'm excited!

I would say Emerald definetly. Of the GB and GBA games I've played Blue, Silver, Crystal, Sappire, Ruby and Emerald to completion and Emerald was definetly my favorite (followed closely by Silver). The promise of Kyogre AND Groudon and new pokemon in the safari zone kept me excited through the story mode. I didn't really enjoy the Battle Frontier, but I'm not into that kind of stuff exactly. Good luck to everyone who's trying to get one, they can be hard to find!

EDIT: Oh! And I forgot to say to Lovely that I loved Ranger! I mainly played it to get the manaphy egg, but 2 weeks before D/P came out, I LOST IT... But I bought it and played it again and actually thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it was just for a SECOND mana egg!

Thanks for the comments everyone :). I got my emerald version changed on saturday in another gamestop as I was exchanging it I noticed they had sapphire also. I was kinda mad because I wanted to buy it but didn't have the money to =(.

Anyway back on topic I already transfered all 3 starters to my diamond game. I now have 152 outta 271 and hundreds more pokemon to go. Also having fun breeding pokemon for egg moves to bad I dont have the time to evolve them and no wi-fi yet.:sad:

Npeper, I can't quite get the hang of Ranger, the entire catching part is pretty hard for me, but I've been trying off and on for the last few days. I will get my egg and have fun even if it kills me. lol

I started the game with intention of taking those pokemon but they had all messed up random names and the starter knew a tm which it didn't wanna forget. The previous owner didnt have any legendary's also so meh.

That's too bad. Hopefully you'll have plenty of fun playing through the game. :-D I'm going to restart my Emereald in a few months. First I want get in more ditto hunting (Right now I palpark 6 every day. Woot!) and finish the stories on FR and (eventually) my Pearl. I'm still mad about how my Pearl got restarted and I just haven't had the heart to re-restart it. :sad:

Make sure to tell me how many hours you're at when you challenge the E4. Then I'll have something to try and beat when I restart Emerald. ^_^ Friendly compitition never hurt anybody, right? lol

Yeah, it's definitely something new. You start to get good at it after a while, especially after beating it twice. The first time I actually beat it to absolute completion, every pokemon possible. Snorlax FTW!!! but anyway, if you just do it for the sake of a manaphy it gets easier.
