View Full Version : Which Pokemon Give Which EVs

I have spent the last few days and nights working on a list of Pokemon and what EVs they give. I have used many resources from the internet, but the charts are made by me. I was going in alphabetical order, but then I found the list I had did not include the new Diamond/Pearl Pokemon or the new Diamond/Pearl EVs. Some of the older Pokemon had their EVs changed if they had a pre-evolution or an evolution added. I also included some, but not all the locations for each Pokemon to make going after that EV a little easier. This is the first time I have worked on a web page in about 2 years. This is also the first time I used Excel for a lot of the tables. I did notice that sometimes the lines separating the columns sometime disappear, must of the time a simple refresh fixed that. I noticed that mainly when I viewed the web page with Firefox, Internet Explorer showed everything correctly. So check it out and let me know if you find any flaws. Any spelling errors, any missed Pokemon, any wrong EVs, or just any comments on making the pages hurt your eyes less. Most of the Pokemon have an NA listed as location. Most of them don't appear in Diamond/Pearl or they are one time captures, so you are not able to repeat battle for EVs unless it is against another person.
I know I should shut up already and give you the link. Please be patient it is a work in progress and it uses my free web space from my ISP. But please be honest so I can try to make it better.

That's a really useful list! Thankyou for taking the time to make it!
Whenever I was trying to find out EVs you gain for different pokemon I had to search for the pokemon on Marriland pokedex, which is a bit time consuming when you have lots of pokemon to check for. x)
I'm sure this will save everyone a lot of time :D
The only suggestion I have is that the location info you seem to have is where to actually catch the pokemon. Maybe in the future you could make a section that tells you where you can get into trainer battles with them.
But it's still an awesome list as it is. Thanks again :D

very nice guide, the only problem with it i see is that "Pokemon EV's Location" is repeated every time, but you should just have them as column headings.
also i dont really like the colour scheme but thats a minor thing :p
Oh the charts are awesome! But the colors --- institutional gray and blood red just don't mix... XD It hurt my eyes a little TT.TT

Ah I am working on a list of Vs. Seeker EV list. It is taking sometime, but I am looking for trainers with Vs. Seeker that only use Pokemon with 1 EV type. It is coming along, but is slow.

I did that as more of a divider instead of everything running together. If the rows with Pokemon, EV, and Location were a different color then the rest of the chart do you think that would help? Also someone said about the grey and red hurting their eyes. Any suggestion on what color would be softer? I was thinking maybe keeping the dark Gray background with the chart being like a light blue with black text.

O.K. I updated the EV guide charts. I recolored them. I fixed some minor typos and a few other problems. For some reason the Excel pages do not like Firefox web browser. You may need to refresh each page once or twice. Once I refresh my pages on Firefox the lines show correctly. I think the color scheme this time is a little less stressful on the eyes. Also if anyone has any tips let me know, what I am really looking for is if the EVs are correct. With new evolutions and pre-evolutions from Diamond/Pearl some of the EVs changed for certain Pokemon. I think I got them update for Diamond/Pearl, but there is always a chance I missed some. So here is the link again.
EV GUIDE (http://user.pa.net/~rcade/zcwas.htm)
Also as to a question before about finding in game trainers for EV training. I am still working on a Vs. Seeker EV training guide. So many routes, so many trainers, and so little time. However to show that I am working hard on it here is a taste of what I got.
Vs. Seeker Guide Preview
HP : Rt. 213 / Tuber Jared / 3 Gastrodon / 6 HP EVs Total
ATK : Rt.213 / Swimmer Sheltin / 3 Gyarados / 6 ATK EVs Total
DEF : Rt.210 / Ninja Boy Fabian / 3 Geodudes / 3 DEF EVs Total
SP.ATK : Rt.214 / Collector Douglas / 3 Roselia / 6 SP.ATK EVs Total
SP.DEF : Rt.210 / Ninja Boy Davido / 1 Dustox / 3 SP.DEF EVs Total
SPD : Rt.205 / Fisherman Andrew / 6 Magikarp / 6 SPD EVs Total
When I get the guide finished I want to have the trainers exact location on the routes included so there is no searching around. Until then you can always go and have a Pokemon you are not EV training as your lead Pokemon and try to find the trainer then switch to the Pokemon you will be EV training.
Also most trainers you have to fight like 2 or 3 times and their Pokemon will evolve. Like on route 202 Youngster Tristan had a Starly at level 19 when I first fought him so I thought cool a speed EV trainer, but then on the second fight he had a Staravia at level 31 and one the 3rd fight he had a Staravia level 40. Now Staravia and Starly are both Speed EV Pokemon, but Staravia gives 2 Speed EVs instead of Starly's 1 Speed EV.
Also going to be included on my Vs. Seeker guide will be a pokedollar amount from each fight. So you can find the best EVs and pokedollar maker in one trainer.

Buzz: Wow. That is a great tool. The vs seeker information is going to be an amazing time saver for making money and training. Thanks.

Well as long as I pay for my internet I will let this guide online. Unless I switch ISP which I will just move it to another site, but it will remain. Updating it will be the pain for any future Pokemon expansions.

This is why I miss the secret base system from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
Using multiple carts I created a secret training base for each type of EV. Do to the magic of the trade system you can even trick the carts into allowing you to battle the same secret base multiple times in the same day.
If you are going to be EV training Pokemon that are pre-Sinnoh I higly suggest you invest in the Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games.

Yeah I added every Pokemon, then when I finished I remembered that there is no Secret Base like in R/S/E to which you could battle friends and gain EV's.
Ooooh your site looks great! Lotsa numbers! =3

Hey quick question guys. I am still working on this Vs. Seeker EV training guide. My question is about the layout.
Should it be like the single Pokemon EV guide and have the trainers listed under the EV they give out, such as in categories listed by HP, ATK, DEF, SP.ATK, SP.DEF, SPD, and Multi EV's or the other option is to have them list by Routes?
I think listing them by Routes is the way to go, but the other way you can just say I want to EV train Defense and then go to that section and find the best option for you, instead of looking threw each Route trying to find the Defense EV. Oh I may just have answered my own question. I could do it by Routes and break them down into Stat list, but I still think just posting them by stat is best. I am confused. Anyone know how many trainers that are in the game that respond to the Vs. Seeker? Answer I lost count after 200, no I have no clue, but it is a lot he-he.
:(:(:(:(, you're diligence is crazy. XD But I'd go for the Route Arrangement, and then the Stats. That way, we can just pick a location and then check what EVs are available within the area. Much easier to keep track of stuff, I think. =3

That is what I was thinking. Well I thought about it after I posted. What if people can't get to those routes yet, well then give them the routes they can get to and then they can choose what they want to train. Thanks for making up my mind Nak.
