Hi Poke-trainers :D

I know this could be seen as jumping on the band wagon, but I just couldn't resist! I hope all those other top breeders on the forums won't mind a little one squeezing in :D

Tephra ranch doesn't look to breed the usually popular egg move pokes (dd ip totadile, dd hydro pump bagon, ip sneasel, to name just a few) as these pokemon can be obtained pretty easily as they are so popular. Instead, we want to breed pokemon that mean something to us, pokemon that maybe aren't so widely used, or aren't your average egg move pokes. We want to explore all the possibilities concerning egg moves. Find out what works, and find out what doesn't!

That doesn't mean, however, that we will ignore the requests of you guys. You can PM me and the other breeders throughout the week and tell us what pokemon and even what egg moves you would most like to see in the farm. At the end of the week we will look at all your requests and ideas, and if there is something that catches our eye or is particularly popular, we will breed that as well as our own chosen pokes (providing we're able, of course :D)

Any way, enough of my rubbish. I will update in a bit and tell you what the first poke I am breeding will be. And don't forget to let me know what pokes you would like to see in the ranch!!

Oh, and one more thing. Yep, just the one. All pokemon are free to a good home!
I do love items, and nicknamed pokes too, even if it's just a biddoof called Bob!
Send me whatever you have lying around. Or catch me a starley, give it a nickname and send me that! Anything is great :D :D

Awesome. Your a trainer after my own heart. Breeding Pokemon should be about the fun and challenge of making a fun Pokemon. I also like breeding under used Pokemon instead of the popular ones. Not that I won't breed any of the big guys or not I don't have anything against anyone who does breed the popular Pokemon. Breed for the challenge.

Ok guys, sorry about the wait :D

News update: Wraithseer is now a breeder at Tephra ranch. I believe he has some meowths to trade you guys and I'll ask him to post some info when he can :)
I am also happy that Electro girl has requested to join the ranch, I have so far been able to get hold of her but I'll post when I have definite news.

Now, onto my breeding. The first poke I am ofering is a common pokemon which can be caught easily, but does not come with any of the moves that mine will have.
That pokemon is ponyta. One of my personnal faves, I will hopefully be breeding some with the following moveset:

Flamethrower
solarbeam
sunnyday
return (this will probably change, I'm not too sure yet)

Leave a comment if you are interested. That way I should be able to judge more or less how many I need to breed :D :D

I'm sorry but i have run out of speed Meowths would ou like a health or a defence one?

I could breed you a speed one if you wanted but Meowth has high average speed any way and because of the adamant nature he has high attack aswell. So i personally would suggest either defence or health because it gievs meowth extra endurance so he can last longer in the harder fights.

Hey everyone! :D

Sorry I'm late. I was hoping to have a farming event ready by the start of this week, but I had a lot more coursework to do than I expected. xD
I've been trying to decide on a pokemon to farm, but I couldn't think of any I like with a moveset even half as good as Soron or Wraithseer's, so I decided to go for a pokemon which is one of my personal favourites that I've never tried breeding before, Shuckle!
Not many people seem to have a Shuckle which is my first reason for breeding them. Second is that those who do have one don't use them very much because they have such a low attack stat.

The moveset I'm *trying* to give my baby Shuckles is:
Gyro Ball - because with Shuckle's low speed it can do a lot of damage.
Power Trick - to hopefully get a better Attack stat for you (and lower for your opponent) in battle.
Acupressure - because I think I can do that pretty easily. xD and because there's a chance of increasing attack power.
and I haven't quite decided on the last move.

I've never really bred for moves before, so I might be being a little over-ambitious and have to change the moveset, but I'll give it a go. :)

Provided I don't have any suddenly sprung on me tomorrow, I should have a pretty much coursework-free weekend. I'll try and have some Shuckles ready for Saturday, Sunday at the latest.
If you could post here or PM me if you think you'd be interested, that way I can get a rough idea of how many baby Shuckles to breed for my first batch. :)

To save from confusion in this topic, when I have some shuckles ready I'll start a new thread (if that's okay with you, Soron) with when I'll be trading, and anyone can leave their name and FC.
