Pokefarm's halloween tournament

Hello and welcome to this months official tournament. The winner of the poll was a dark/poison/ghost tournament so get ready to train up 4 pokes for battle! From now on we will be having bracket tournaments. If there isent enough entrants then you might be lucky enough to get a BYE. ;B


Rules

-4 pokes per team
-You must have 1 Dark 1 Ghost and 1 Poison type in your team.
-The fourth has to be either a dark, poison, or ghost type.
-Pokefarm gym rules are in effect.
-However you are allowed to use legends and more then one of the same item
-Limit 1 OU per team(I want some variety here. 8 teams of Gengar Weezing Weavile and Dusknoir would be lame)
-NO, gengar does not count as a poison AND a ghost. Pick one. Same with Spiritomb, sableye, etc.
-No ubers
-Yes you may use a diffrent team each battle as long as it dosent break the rules

Brackets will be made Oct 20th. Feel free to signup, ask questions, and let me know if I left out any important info.

What they have now are these pokeballs on keychains that light up and project a picture of a pokemon. The one I have is for the ultra ball and each picture (you can rotate what pictures will show) has a picture of a pokemon + a rock/paper/scissors symbol.

Um, I don't know if you mentioned this, but what about the move restrictions that were placed on the water tourny? Like no effective attacks? Do the same rules apply to this one as well?

Ie: No dark type attacks to be used on ghosts or whatever.

No that rule is only going to be inforced if its a single type tournament.

One question: I see that gym rules are in effect but that legends are allowed. Does this mean OU and BL legends only or *any* legend that fits the typing rules?
I think there is only one Dark Legend and he is an Uber. I'm not aware of any Poison or Ghost Legends

Your right. I added that before I realized the only dark and ghost legends are uber. So no giratina or darkrai.

Of course. If they couldent then no dark types could enter I believe Darkrai is the only non duel type Dark pokemon. Oh and umbreon too.

I'd like to know this as well along with the date of the actual tournament so I don't sign up and have to attend to other obligations in my life. x.X Hopefully it is on a weekend.

The tourney isent on a specific date. Brackets will be posted on the 20th and you guys scedule your own battles from there. The deadline for signups is the 19th.

Fine, just forget I ever mentioned it. I should have known people would be waiting until the last minute. I do that all the time as well.

It's not intentionally waiting till the last minute. People have lives and can't always find the time to play Pokemon. I, for one, know that I won't have a problem finishing my team as soon as I have the time but I've been bombarded with a lot of school work that unfortunately takes precedence over a video game. It's frustrating me too though, I haven't been able to play in a week or so.

I'm sure you'll have a very successful turnout on the 20th and I can't wait!

I think Seth has it exactly right. I base my decisions on joining a tourney on when it starts and what is going on in my life.

I mostly just hate it when everyone starts PMing me to ask if I'm ready yet, then get upset that I didn't start early along with them. :mad:
