does anyone know if the calculation is

(base evs + power item) * pokerus * macho brace

or

base * pkrs * macho + power item

where:
base = evs the poke gives
power item = +4 in a certain stat
pokerus = x2
macho brace = x2

i think it is probably the first calculation but not sure.

edit: i know macho brace and power items cant be equipped at same time, what im wondering really is at what stage the +4 from power items is added

I am thinking and I may not be 100%, but I think your first equation (base evs + power item) * pokerus * macho brace is correct.
Yeah it would take the base evs and add the power item and then multiply that by the pokerus. And with macho brace it would be base evs * macho brace * pokerus. The math involved in Pokemon hurts my head hehe. Who needs big brain academy.

One question I have seen differant answers on and have not got to test myself, after the Pokerus cures itself, well I mean is no longer contagious, does it still have a lifelong Pokerus effect?

Yea and i think the EV boost is still kept.

What items are power items?

Power Anklet (Adds 4 Speed EV’s to Pokémon fought, but lowers Speed stat)
Power Band (Adds 4 Special Defense EV’s to Pokémon fought, but lowers Speed stat)
Power Belt (Adds 4 Defense EV’s to Pokémon fought, but lowers Speed stat)
Power Bracer (Adds 4 Attack EV’s to Pokémon fought, but lowers Speed stat)
Power Lens (Adds 4 Special Attack EV’s to Pokémon fought, but lowers Speed stat)
Power Weight (Adds 4 Hit Point EV’s to Pokémon fought, but lowers Speed stat)

That is a guaranteed 4 EVs for fighting any Pokemon. All the power items come from the Battle Park and cost 16 BP each.

no once the pokerus is cured u dont get the extra EVs any more (im pretty sure of this anyway), thx for ur help

edit: because it even says on the game, once your pokemon is infected it grows faster.. so it seems logical it doesnt grow as fast when its cured

on the pojo boards they say its

(credit Elly) "Pkrs multiplies the entire amount of EVs. So battle a Kricketune with PKrs and Power item for Attack = 2(2+4) = 12 Effort Points.)"

they seem to be right in a lot of things so i guess this is the right one too :P

and it seems i was wrong about what happens when the pokerus is healed,

What happens after the pokemon heals?
A pokemon who has already had pokerus cannot become re-infected. The good news is that all the benefits of the additional effort gained while infected will stay with the pokemon. Your EVs will still all be there. Several posters have confirmed that healed pokemon with incomplete EV training still gain effort at the accelerated rate even after healing.

That is what I have been seeing on other forums. It can no longer pass on the Pokerus and can never get it again, but the effects are permanent. I could never get a straight answer on other forums, like it was a secret or something.
