Good luck. I made it threw 4 or 5 gyms when I realized my team was not up to par. I used my Beacon Gym Leader team to find holes in my team. Which the holes I found is what lead to the Electric/Ghost combo and lead to my new team with a few more counters and tricks to use.
Don't worry about the wins or losses. Just study the battles. You will be going up against Gym Leaders, so you will get the knowledge of all their battles. You will see how to counter this or that. YOu will find new tricks and move combos. You will see when to switch or why you switch.
The learning is the best part, the badges are just the candles on your cake.
Good luck slizer, I have seen first hand how far you have came since you started on this site. I know you will do well on your gym tour.

Well you tested my patiences that is for sure. But I don't give up easy either. I know as well as many other members did at the time that you were excited to be here. This is one of the only forums I know that younger kids are not treated like they are babies.
You listened and asked questions. I just noticed your one option in the poll says this is just an attempt to copy Buzz. A member before me wrote up a thread to record his journey threw the gyms. Mine was a bit different then his, I just wanted to find the wholes in my team that I did not get to see battling as the Beacon Gym Leader.
So don't feel you are copying anyone. You already have all but 1 badge I believe. I never went after the badges. I knew my team was lacking something and my trip was to find the holes. I knew I had little chance of winning in the other gyms. I did not gear my team to beat them and I knew my Beacon team was outdated.
But with all your badges it shows you can adapt your team and that is awesome. A lot of people get stubborn and refuse to admit their team is not that good just because they have won a few battles. It took me to long to do that with my Beacon team.
Stubborn or not don't be afraid of change. I got comfortable and then wouldn't try.

I think you will find that most of the veterans here are parents and know how energetic kids can be he-he. You got to me sometimes. When we would PM for an hour and you would ask the same question and I gave the same answer, it got annoying he-he. But once you started to understand what I was saying, which I think may have been do to the way I explained things back then. I explained things like everyone knew what I meant. Back then people still did not understand and some did not know what EVs or IVs were. Once I started to explain it out and explain what I was explaining, I think you really started to pick it up then.
I would go on about how the IVs or talking about move-sets, but I expected everyone to know all about the moves I talked about. Not everyone has moves memorized with ATK POW, ACC., infliction, or type. Most people know the move name, but I expected or thought everyone knew the details to them. So when I started explaining them out people started understanding what I was talking about.
I use to write the battles down. Then I could look them over afterwards and parts that I messed up on or got countered or got crushed, I would look and see what I could have done differently.

My advice is that you should not plan on defeating all the gyms with the same team. It just isn't likely to happen.
Most (if not all) of the gym teams are designed around synergies of Pokémon and covering for the inherent weaknesses of the gym's typing. You may well defeat one or two gyms with a good solid team, but rest assured that that team will be weak to the strategy used by some other gym.
I expect that you will need to switch out teams based on which gym you are challenging. All those Steels will be worthless in Cobble, and just about any dragon is a bad idea in Icicle. You will lose a Pokémon or two and not do anything back to the gym leader in return.
At the same time, just loading up on Pokémon strong to the gym's typing isn't going to carry you. I've lost count of how many Mix Apes and Weaviles have gotten one-shotted in the Forest Gym.
My advice is to build a strong team, then also breed 3-5 *more* pokemon to sit on the bench until you need them. Challanging Beacon? Leave the waters and flyers at home and switch them out for something more resistant. Challanging Fen? For goodness sake don't bring a Mix Ape!
Let's hope you can come over this slizer.
Good luck!!

Now you have to battle yourself to take on Alirrath again.
Don't let 0-6 bug you. I have lost battles 0-6 and I have won 6-0. Nothing feels better or hurts more, but :(:(:(:( happens.

Yes, you would know ;)
And getting 6-0'd sucks, whether it happens by hax or you just being outplayed. You just have to get by it and get ready for the next match :D

Depending on the battle, there are times you bring the wrong Pokemon in or don't switch at the right time and you make yourself a sitting duck. I know the battles I lost 0-6 was mainly do to mistakes on my side. Most of the ones I lost I could have knocked a few out, but the switching out to save the skunking made me try to go all out in attacking which caused me to fall quicker.
Just learn from the 0-6 losses.

He managed to put my 2 only hopes to sleep lol. LKSEAM 16 would have crippled that poke and it would have been a different battle lol. The Mr.Saturn put Saturn to sleep lol.

I feel so embaressed again =( i guess my best mate (another pokemon fan) looking over my shoulder didnt help lol. He normaly does help but not this time. Smart choice swtiching out pokemon on low hp gave you that win, btu hay im nto giving up these battles.

Wait you have had 2 battles and lost both 0-6? What gym leader did you just face? This is the team you use as the beacon gym assistant? Dude hit me up in PM with your team. Moves, natures, items, and EVs if you want. I am not going to tell you to build new pokemon, we can look at those you currently have and see if any tweaks can be made.

From what I saw so far, the team is pretty solid and the EVs and IVs look great. Natures are based on taste of the trainer. But I said I would look at the move-sets to try and tweak them to see if it helps. Changing Natures would mean you have to rebreed and that is not what we want to do. So let me look over the move-sets and I will dig out my DS and check move-sets and notes.

The pokes might not have changed but the moves have and that is what changed the match. I don't tend to stay too stagnant.
A fun battle overall though. I couldn't believe we started with the same poke. And I couldn't believe yours was faster than me. I know mines timid, 31 IV with maxed out EVs. So I was really shocked yours went first. Changed my game plan a bit.
Like I said in my gym posting, Sedna had me a bit worried if I wasn't able to get 'em down quick.
Fun times and good luck with the other guys Sliz!

Ah I didn't save it. Resend your team and info and I can look it over again and see if I can remember the tweaks I suggested.

You were cheated out of a victory by that crit i got, oh how i love my LKSEAM 16. Your team is amazing, we were back and forth through the battle, when i got down to my last poke i thought I'm a goner, but i survived earthquake on 20 hp, then i killed that deadly poke, then i was faster then the next one (i cant remember the nick names lol) then drill peck on your last poke only hit 7, i survived on 13 hp. GREAT BATTLE!
