So, our pokemon will be coming from the Borderline tier! Excellent choice!

This will allow us to potentially uncover some unused potential!

Next for us to decide, is which role will this pokemon play on our team,

The choices are in the attached poll, once that is decided, I will scour the BL tier list for excellent choices on species, and that will be the vote after this one is complete.

I voted for Wall. I tend to see/have a lot of Pokemon that are hard-hitting sweepers, but there's not much Defense to back it up. That's why I voted that way. (Can I have an "I Voted" sticker now? :-D j/k)

Neither of you went into too much detail. Elaborate, please. --Not that I disagree; leads are cool, too; but I just wanna know your reasoning.

Leads can have the ability to eather set up your strategy with weather moves like raindance or sunny day, they could merely set up a move to be batonpassed away like a fast boost, or they could be designed to take the first hit and throw your opponent off their strategy with moves like taunt, suckerpunch, or stealth rock!

There's some ammo for leads, even though I voted sweeper :P

I am voting lead because I have a lot of sweepers, physical, special and mixed from past events here. I have only recently learned how to EV train them and am very excited about battling. My problem is I choke on deciding who to start with. My teams are not weather based, if they were my choice for a starter would be a lot easier!:( Please help me Whit! :)

Im opting for a sweeper, im still trying to get my head round ev training and the like so for now a poke that can be flung into battle would do just fine!
