Pokefarm PBR tournament

Thanks to an idea from Jhamin this month is the PBR tournament! The first 8 to sign up are in. if enough people join then it will be a 16 person tournament. For 16 person we are gonna need at least 12 people. Any less and we willl stick with 8 people only.

-6 vs 6 single
-Auto lvl 100
-You do not have to use the same team for all battles
-Lengends are allowed
-Ubers are banned
-No OU limit. Pack 6 OU if you really want
-ALL battles must take place on Pokemon Battle Revolution


PokéFarm Clauses




Species Clause







It is NOT permitted to have two or more of the exact same Pokémon in a team.
Pokémon from the same Family are however permitted (i.e. Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu).
Duplicate Item Clause is off




Evasion Clause



Moves that directly increase evasion (such as Double Team and Minimize) are NOT permitted in battle.
Taking advantage of abilities such as Sand Veil and Snow Cloak are permitted. They are abilities, and do not directly affect evasion status.
Self-K.O. Clause



When both parties are down the last Pokémon, Self-K.O. moves (such as Explosion, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, Memento, etc.) will cause an automatic loss for its user.
Abilities such as Aftermath do not count since they are abilities and not moves.
Sleep Clause



It is NOT permitted that the status Sleep (SLP) be applied to more than one of the opponent's Pokémon at a time. The opponent's currently sleeping Pokémon must first awaken or get knocked out before Sleep may be cast on the opponent's Pokémon once again.
Applying the status Sleep while using random-selection moves (such as Assist, Metronome, Sleep Talk, etc.) does NOT violate this clause.
The move Yawn (unless used with moves such as Assist, Metronome, Sleep Talk, etc.) violates this clause.
Self-inflicted Sleep (such as Rest) does NOT count in this clause, as it is voluntarily inflicted by the user and not by the opponent.
If ability-inflicted Sleep (such as Effect Spore, etc.) is already in effect, applying Sleep to another Pokémon violates this clause. However, this clause is NOT violated if the ability takes effect after the status Sleep has already been applied.
One-hit KO (O.H.K.O.) Clause



One-hit K.O. moves (such as Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Sheer Cold, etc.) are NOT permitted, as they hugely rely on chance and not skill.


PRIZE

1000 wii points!

The winner gets to choose anything off of the wii shop channel that is equal to or less then 1000 wii points. We will add each others wii code and I will gift them to you.



Oh and signups start now! Tourney starts as soon as the region tourney is over. Color tourney moved to next month.

I'll try to get as many pokemon together as I can and enter. Are you sure it's fair to start the tourney as soon as the region one ends, though? That only gives people a week tops to prepare.

Exactly. I would like to get it started as soon as possible since people will be busy with the holidays later on in the month. Thats also why I pushed back all the upcoming tourneys. My original plan was to have both the PBR and color tourneys in one month.

@Buzz-Theres no specific date since we are going to start when the region battles are over. that might be tommorow or it might be a week.

Other then it starts as soon as regional tournament is finished, is there a selected date? I am hoping it is not like a fight club thing where you are awaken in the middle of the night and hey man it is time to battle. ;)

I know like this weekend is o.k. for me, next weekend gets a bit tricky.

well, he did win the battle yesterday... The only thing that I have to worry about are my battle senses... Im usually layed back and dont pay much attention, but now, I could lose just because I made one mistake. Thanks for helping with sparky though!:)

I don't know, I was kinda lazy. :mrgreen: So, Jhamin, we finally have a tussle, eh? I guess I'll have to test mah new team (that has been technically tested out on shoddy). Since my ds broke, I can only fight on pbr, this is my kind of tourney. :mrgreen:

Yeah, I tried to do the level 100 battle but failed. All I could do was 50 in order to get everyone's level the same, so I don't think 100 is a option. =/

Its just my Wifi is upstairs and Wii is downstairs. Mum also irons in same room so lots of clothes blocking signal. I'll try before 24/12/08 to get better signal. If not itll have to be 2/1/09 onwards as my holidays are really unpredictable. Sorry:(
