Net balls work fantastically on Kyogre.
I don't see that mentioned very often.
Have fun with your new Sapphire game!

Where do you get them in sapphire? Also it was used so i will migrate the items and pokes as it has grovyle and some tms like overheat and dig. After that ill start playing. I will either pick torchic or mudkip.

You can buy Net and Dive balls in Mossdeep from memory, they cost 1000 apiece.

For Kyogre, use a Shedinja with false swipe (level Nincada to level 25 before you evolve it). Kyogre can't touch it and if you use spite on its rest move it will be a lot less annoying to catch

What rest move and who has disable.

Yeah, I just went through all of my GenIII games over the past week, and a L55 Shedinja with Shadow Ball, False Swipe, and Grudge worked wonders for catching legendaries. It even worked for Rayquaza; I used Grudge to start the battle, and then when it used Fly, Fly's PP was emptied so Rayquaza couldn't touch Shedinja either after I revived Shedinja. My personal advice on catching them: in battle, use a Manectric or another Electric Poke to paralyze them first, then when they get KO'd, bring in Shedinja and go from there. As for balls, I prefer Timer Balls or Ultra Balls - I had no luck with Net Balls on Kyogre, but it's a good backup option.

Well ill catch a nincada and do that and ill level up ninjask aswell so i have a good battler. Also i will use manetric as i always have a electric poke and im sure to have tailow as flying types go useful.
BTW, What does grudge do again and how did fly lose all its pp when shedinja died.

Grudge causes any move that knocks out the user of Grudge to lose all of its PP. Since Fly hits Shedinja (super effective against Bug), it's an automatic KO so Grudge wiped out its PP.

In Sapphire Kyogre's is at level 45 and its moveset is Body Slam, Calm Mind, Ice Beam and Hydro Pump. None of those moves have any effect on Shedinja.
Rest is only on the wild one's in emerald. Spite is the move that I was using to lower the PP of its rest.

i like torchic but it makes the game so hard. you might have a hard time with the:
1st gym unless you evo. it, 4th maybe just depends on your team,6th for sure even if you have an Elcitric type, 7th b/c of phicic(what ever on spelling) and 8th as it is a water gym. but the E4 is a breeze w/ blazikin. so it depends if you tran evenly or just 2 or 3 pokes.

well, Swampert has a good elemental combo, making the game easier
Just like Turtwig in Diamond

Train a Seedot so it eventually becomes a Shiftry, and plus, it's a good poke against Team Aqua. Also, teach it Dig so that you can do part of the Regi-puzzle when you're finished the game.

lotad, though, are still a good match for team aqua, although it doesn't know a lot of grass-type moves apon leveling up.................(solrock,btw,don't appear in sapphire either....):(

Sadly, the lotad familly is better for competetive battling, they lack the moves to really play in story mode, I recomend a breloom. They have a 1st prority move, they know spore, they have powerful grass/fighting moves for team Aqua and for the ice E4

Breloom are a good way to break through the Petalburg gym, just beware of flying types with it.(in case you run into one in battle, keep mach punch known,so you'll deal at least some damage......unless breloom is your last pokemon...........)

Can't you trade a Ralts for a Seedot in the town with the first gym?
