With Pokefarm being down one weekend and Nintendo wifi the next weekend many of you can relate to my Frustration.

With my Beldum event starting it is a good time to dust off that old TM as I'll explain how Frustration works.
All pokemon have a friendship level that goes from 0 to 255. The higher friendship level is, the stronger Return is and the lower the friendship level is, the stronger Frustration is.
The power of Return is friendship level divided by 2.5 giving you a maximum power of 102.
Frustration on the other hand is 255 minus the friendship level divided by 2.5 for a maximum of 102.

This thread, How to Make Your Pokemon Happy (http://forum.pokefarm.com/showthread.php?t=4042) will help you on how to increase/decrease your happiness level. Most pokemon will grow in friendship as you level them up and EV train them. So many trainers like the power and accuracy of Return especially with the STAB boost that Normal pokemon get.
But don't discount Frustration. If you trade a pokemon it returns to its base level of Happiness. Check out the thread and you see most pokemon have a base Happiness of 70, but some have a lower base of 35 (Buneary is 0 and learns Frustration as a level up move). If any of you played Emerald and took Steven's Bedlum to the man in Pacificlogtown, you will note the he tells you how much disdain the little guy has for you and will give you a Frustration TM. That's because Bedlum is in this lower happiness level and will give you a base power of 88 for Frustration to start. A few bitter herbs and letting in die in battle (Explosions/Self Destructs are great for this) and you can easily get that level down to 0.

Another point is that Because Buneary levels up with happiness she is a perfect canditate for 102 base power return.:)

Another way to decrease happyness is to feed then poffins they don't like.
