~The Life of a Teenage Trainer~




Chapter 1~



*Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep*


The sound of a hand hitting plastic echoes through the room, as a boy with pitch black hair woke from his dreams.
“I really need to get rid of that thing.” The boy groggily stated.
“Jokull! Wake up! You need to head out if you want to make it to JubilifeCity in time. Who knows how long Acacia has been there.” A women’s voice sounded from downstairs.
“Yeah well she doesn’t have to travel that far to get there now does she?” The boy, Jokull muttered as a response.
He got out of his bed, pushing Triscuit; his mom’s Manetric off of his bed in the process and went through his normal morning routine. Shower, get dressed, brush teeth, but today he had an extra task. Packing a small bag, light enough to travel with for his journey.

Jokull had a dream of becoming a famous Pokemon breeder, so far that dream was far off. That’s why when Acacia had phoned yesterday asking if he wanted to travel, he agreed. Traveling around Sinnoh, taking down gym leaders, winning contests and just plain getting breeding experience.
What he didn’t know was this was not going to be a walk in the park afternoon special.
“Okay mom, i’m packed and ready to go.” He said as he kissed her on the cheek.
“Call as soon as y-““I get to Jubilife yeah, yeah.” He interrupted her.
“I promise I’ll call in every city I stop in.”
“Okay” She embraced him “I can’t believe my baby is leaving me, but I told my self last night I wouldn’t cry when you left. I would save it until afterwards. “She continued on for a good 5 minutes before he decided to stop her.
Hugging her one more time he dashed out of the door with one last goodbye.


Once he was outside he pulled out a pokeball from his red pack.
“Let’s go, Monti!” He shouted as a large Salamence emerged from the ball.
“Sala-sal’ It roared.
Monti was the first Pokemon Jokull had ever bred. He had trained it hard and it was the main powerhouse on his team, along the lines he was able to teach Monti Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, Dragon Claw and Earthquake. Monti learned all of them with ease, he was also Jokull’s main form of transportation, besides walking.
“We need to try and make it to Jubilife in a few days, okay?” Jokull asked the Salamence.
Monti nodded, with the nod from his Salamence Jokull mounted him and with a giant roar Monti flew into the frigid air of Snowpoint City.


My first attempt at a Fanfiction. This is obviously Chapter 1.

~Chapter 2~

After a day and a half of traveling Jokull and Monti had made it to EternaCity. Monti had gotten tired and Jokull had decided to stay the night in the PokemonCenter.
“Hi.” Jokull said the nurse Joy “I was wondering if we could have a room here for tonight, my Salamence is tired from flying.”
“Of course!” She opened a drawer and pulled out a key with a 15 on it “Here’s your room key, just ask if you need anything. Okay?” She continued
“Thanks!” Jokull replied as he went towards the resting area.
Rounding the corner he ran into an icy blue haired girl.
“Ahh-“ They cried in unison.
The girl was the first to react.
“Jokull? What are you doing here?” She asked in a quiet voice, as if she were nervous.
“Alisha? I was heading to Jubilife, to meet up with Acacia. What are you doing here?” He replied.
“Acacia?! I haven’t seen or heard from her in awhile. I was here….just shopping around, I’m thinking of heading to Veilstone after today.” She told him in a rush.
Jokull looked at her oddly.
“Well it was nice seeing you again, I’m going to go rest up. Its late you should too.” Once the sentence left his mouth they both muttered a short goodbye and went to there separate rooms.
Once he had reached his room he changed into his pajamas and went to bed for the night.

Jokull had woken up promptly at 6:00, fed his Pokemon and left the center calling a goodbye to Joy.
“Come on out Monti!” Jokull cried.
Once Monti was out of his ball he explained what they were going to do.
“We might have to go pick Acacia up, she probably hasn’t left Floaroma yet.”
With that in mind, Monti flew off into the sky.
Alisha watched him leave, muttering things under her breath and looking extremely guilty.

In a short time they had made it to FloaromaTown.
“Circle around here.” Jokull said as he pointed to a house.
When Monti landed he went up to the house. On the front door was a note in chicken scratch.

“Jokull, I left for Jubilife this morning. So when you read this just head straight there. Then we can start our journey!”

“Of course she already left why would I think she hadn’t left yet-“ Jokull continued to mutter under his breath.
Once he was finished with his little ran, they were off again heading to the first stop of his career.

Thanks for the support everyone. I won't always update this early. I've just been in a writing mood.

That was a pretty good chapter. The one good thing about this fan fic is that it's not battle, battle, battle, battle. You think about the life of the person and the bare-bone basics. I find this awesome!

This is my first battle scene. I'm not sure if I like it. So I might rewrite it. Next Chapter will be up between today and tomorrow.


~Chapter 3~


After another day, they had finally made it to Jubilife.
“Where is she?” Jokull asked himself.
He had been wandering around Jubilife for half an hour and he could still not find Acacia.
“You big idiot, I can’t believe I’ve been following you for half an hour and you still didn’t notice me. I mean you could have a stalker.” A girl’s voice sounded from behind him.
“Acacia, what a horrible surprise, you know it’s not healthy to follow people.” He replied as he hugged her.
“So you ready to go, or should we sight see?” Acacia asked.
“I say we get this show on the road, I’m ready to go. Are you?” He replied
“Fine, I guess I won’t get to see the wonders of Jubilife.” Acacia said in a saddened voice.
“Yeah, I guess you won’t.” Jokull said as he walked towards Route 203.
“Wait up!” Acacia yelled attempting to catch up to him.

“I saw Alisha while I was in EternaCity. She seemed nervous…like last time.” Jokull told Acacia.
“You don’t think-“Acacia was interrupted by two boys running up to them.
‘Can we help you with something?” Jokull asked them.
“We wanted to know if you were up to a double battle.” The one on the right, a blonde replied.
“All the people here are boring and are horrible trainers.” The left one continued, he had red hair.
“What makes you think we’re strong, we could be weak.” Acacia replied.
“We can tell you aren’t.” The blonde replied.
“Besides” He turned to Jokull “we saw you ride in on a Salamence. A weak trainer wouldn’t have one of those.”
“Fine.” Acacia and Jokull replied simultaneously.
The two groups walked to separate sides of the path.
“O, by the way I’m Jason and this is Stan.” The blonde yelled.
“Like we care.” Acacia muttered. Jokull nudged her.
“At least try to be nice when we crush them, okay?” He asked her.
“Cross my heart.” She crossed her heart. Jokull rolled his eyes.
“You ready over there?” Jason asked.
“Yeah, let’s do this.” Jokull yelled.
“I choose you Heracross!” Jason yelled.
“Come on out, Kabutops!” Stan yelled.
“Go get’em Sunny.” Acacia yelled as a Leafeon burst from the pokeball.
“Minerva, lets go.” Jokull yelled as a Milotic emerged from its ball.
“A Milotic and Leafeon against a Heracross and Kabutops. We’ve got this in the bag.” Jason said to Stan.
“Don’t get cocky.” He replied.
“Why don’t you two go first.” Acacia yelled at them
“It’s a mistake to let us go first.” Jason muttered.
“Heracross Night Slash on Milotic.” Jason ordered his Heracross.
The Heracross flew across the field with its arm raised ready to strike. When it got halfway there Jokull decided to counter.
“Minerva Ice Beam, now!” Jokull yelled
Minerva shot an Ice Beam directly at the Heracross, throwing it into a tree and freezing its arm.
“Sunny! Attack while it’s down Aerial Ace!” Acacia told her Leafeon.
“Kabutops don’t let it hit Heracross, use X-Scissor!” Stan told his Kabutops.
“Just keep going.” Jokull muttered to Acacia. “Minerva stop Kabutops with another Ice Beam, then follow up with Dragon Pulse.” Jokull continued.
As Sunny ran at Heracross and Kabutops ran at Sunny, Minerva shot an Ice Beam at Kabutops’ legs stopping it in its tracks. Before it knew what happened Kabutops was blasted back from a Dragon pulse. It was knocked out.
Sunny leapt at Heracross slashing it with an aerial ace and sending it flying. It was also knocked out.
Jason and Stan were too shocked to do anything but stare.
Acacia and Jokull smirked.
“That was fun wasn’t it?” Acacia asked the other duo.
“How did you do that?!” Jason yelled.
“That was unbelievable.” Stan muttered to shocked to say anything else.
Acacia giggled. “We’ll just be on our way now, thanks for the battle.” Acacia told them as her a Jokull passed them heading to the opening of Oreburgh Gate.
All Stan and Jason could do was watch them leave.
Behind a tree a figure stood watching them.
“I think they’re heading to OreburghCity. Should I cut them off?” The figure spoke into a walkie-talkie.
“No, we can’t get to them yet. Wait until I tell you.” A voice spoke from the other end.
“Yes sir.” The figure replied as she pulled out a pokeball.
“Come on Jenny.” She muttered as a Honchkrow emerged.
“Fly to EternaCity.” She told it.
With that they headed to EternaCity. Leaving the two boys on the path, who were still gawking at the entrance.

Nice job Ice can't wait to see what happens to Jokull and Acacia next! Jokull is so lucky he has a Salamence and Milotic and he didn't even get his first badge! :)

WARNING!!! This is just a small filler! I am working in Chapter 4 right now. This is just to tie you over.




~Filler 1~



“Did you see the look on their faces?” Acacia asked while giggling.
“Yeah! It was priceless. I mean come on we had a small type advantage.” Jokull replied.
Acacia rolled her eyes. “Fine, whatever. This cave is really creepy.” She muttered.
“Aw is the little girl scared, come on. We’ve been in worse places then this. Remember that one time we got stuck trying to find Blackthorn City?” He asked
“Yeah, you called out Sprite and he dragged us around until he found it. Whatever happened to him Jokull?” Acacia said.
“Hes taking a nice long rest at my house. For an Ursaring he sure tires easily. Besides I need to dust of Monti’s pokeball. Then again I might want to make a quick run back and get him, I might not need both Marionette and Naenia.” He retorted.
“I miss my Lola. She was a good little Golem.” Acacia said in a sad voice.
“Look. We haven’t reached Oregurgh City yet. We can go back to our respective houses get our old pokemon and meet back here in what 1, 2 days?” He replied carefully.
Acacia looked thoughtful for a moment. “You wouldn’t mind postponing?” She asked.
“How about this. Once we get to Oreburgh City we can hop on Monti and Jazzy, get Sprite and Lola and meet back here. Okay?” Jokull replied.
“That would work, yeah that works.” She replied back.
Jokull smiled and continued walking towards the exit.



Just a little something I thought of like two seconds ago. Tell me if you want me to continue this filler into 2 small parts. Each about Jokull and Acacia going to get their pokemon, or if you want me to go to Chapter 4 while giving small snippets about this filler in it. Lola and Sprite will place a HUGE role in a future battle.

~Filler 2~


"Man that was horrible!" Jokull exclaimed holding his chest
"I know, I mean come on. You just don't randomly attack people like that." Acacia remarked
After deciding to split up in Oreburgh City they came across a group of Zubat. Many bites and screeches later and they finally made it out of the cave.
"Okay, let’s head to the pokemon center and split. Okay?" Jokull asked his friend.
Okay, I think I might totally change out my team. You know nostalgia and all." She said.
"Yeah, I know what you mean." He remarked as he walked through the door to the pokemon center.
"Hello and Welcome to the Pokemon Center. How may I help you today." The Nurse chirped in a happy voice.
We just need our pokemon healed up. We have to leave soon." Jokull replied.
As they handed over their pokemon they continued talking.
"It won't take me long to get to Floaroma Town, you have to head to Snowpoint and tats a ways away." She said in a timid voice.
"It won't take me long to get there and back. It only took me a few days to get to Jubilife." He replied.
"Here are your pokemon, please come again!" Nurse Joy interrupted happily.
They thanked her and headed out to the outskirts of Oreburgh.
They hugged said their goodbyes and flew off to get back pieces of their childhood.


It’s been FOREVER since I updated this, and for that I am sorry. I had a couple of things going on and writers block sort stepped in and....well yeah.
