Sometimes the farm needs to expand out in ways that allow it's growth and prosperity to continue to contribute positively to the breadth of pokemon in our world. Naturally, this ment the FOTD was required to finally make its way from the Dell and expand some property into the near by mountainous regions. I was working hard one afternoon, cutting and crushing rock to make way for a new path, when I came upon a very rare and intriguing specimen. For here in the rock, there was a very strange looking domed creature. Not knowing what it was, I tossed it into my wheel barrel to take home for a closer examination.
The following day, I decided to take a trip on over to Oreburgh City to visit with a close friend of mine, Samuel, who worked over at the museum. Samuel and I had gone to graduate school together. Samuel did very well in school, receiving degrees in biology and archaeology with a minor in Latin. If this thing turned out to know a dead language, then we were in the clear.
Samuel was excited instantly upon seeing the specimen. He took me back a new contraption that had just been purchased by the museum called R.V.I.V182. Samuel said this was the newest technology for postmortem reanimation. He explained it as so
"Normal bench-top testing apparatus tend to only take into account the non-anatomical properties of particular fossils of interest. This system takes into account not only the non-anatomical properties but also the anatomical properties of a pokemon to recreate a functional variety of the animated species. Thus, though a simple technique known as postmortem reanimation, we can defy the rigors of time and can redefine the act of living!"
I stood there nodding my head yes in agreement and gingerly took a step back. I could see he was getting that crazy eye twitch indicative of a mad scientist. I stood there watching him hook this wire and that wire up to the questionable fossil. At last it was time to throw the switch in a Frankenstein-ish way.
Nothing happened. Again we threw the switch and again nothing happened. That's when Samuel noticed he forgot to plug the contraption in. This time there was a blinding white light with the sound of trumpets in the background (dang, forgot to turn off my cell phone and of course the misses has to call at this time).
When our eyes finally readjusted they gazed up an pokemon which had not been seen alive for eons, a kabuto. The pokemon seemed very curious in our actions and was quickly put into a pokeball to prevent it's escape. I thanked Samuel for his help and headed back to the farm to carry on the breeding of this extremely rare pokemon.
Today the Dell is proud to present kabuto. All kabuto's are Adamant in nature with 30 or 31 IVs for Attack and have the ability Safe Swim. Kabuto evolves into Kabutops which has a base attack stat of 115 and maxes out with an Adamant nature at 361 with the proper IVs and EVs. The move set aims at taking advantage of it's possible speed and hard hitting attack stat with a move set for each of these pokes as follows:
Rain Dance - take advantage of Safe Swim and double it's speed.
Flail - attach a focus sash too keep you alive when using Rain Dance and then hit back with a very strong powered up attack.
Confuse Ray - keep yourself alive a bit longer by confusing your opponent, making them hit you with a drastically lowered chance or force a switch out.
Waterfall - A solid stab move, boosted by rain and a 20% chance to flinch...can't ask for much better than that.
This event is limited to only 15 kabutos, so make sure to reserve your pokemon by
1. Posting a reply in this tread. This allows me to use a time stamp for "first come first served" for this event.

Other than that, I hope you have enjoyed the story and hope you enjoy the new pokemon! Until next time,
I still remain,
Narnad
