My pokemon caught Pokerus and I was wondering if it ever comes off? And if I put a pokemon with Pokerus into a box away from my other pokemon will it still spred?

I think Pokerus lasts a few days.
If you battle with a pokemon with Pokerus in your party it will spread to your other pokemon
If you put the pokemon in a box it won't spread but it won't go away until the pokemon has spent a day in your party.
I don't know that all of what I said is right, but I think that's how it works.

That's basically it, although it's no guaranteed to spread from pokemon to pokemon. However, pokerus is nothing but a good thing, so there's no reason to want it to go away. In fact, it's worth catching a bidoof or two and spreading it to them, then storing them in the pc simply to ensure that you don't lose it completely.

Do pokemon that have had pokerus keep getting the extra EVs or whatever after the pokerus has gone?
Because some people say they do but some people say they dont. "/

Kind of. They always get some EVs, but pokerus gives the pokemon 2x the normal number of EVs after a fight. When you lose pokerus, the pokemon goes back to receiving 1x the normal amount again.

Rob, from what I've heard once you catch Pokerus the EV boost remains, even after the virus itself goes away. I've read that the EV boost is permanent.

im wondering if that is represented by a smiley face near the lower right corner, all of my sister's pokemon don't have it anymore, but there's still a weird smiley...

That means that the Pokerus has been 'cured' and will no longer spread to your other Pokemon, but the EV boost is still there. From there, those pokemon cannot get active Pokerus again. So, it's a good idea to keep an infected pokemon in a PC Box to keep Pokerus on at least one pokemon so you can spread it to more pokemon later.

I stand corrected. I guess you learn something new every day :D
That's nice to know though, because it means that you don't have to worry quite so much about curing pokerus when training pokemon, so long as somebody has it to spread to others later on.
I have a question involving pokerus..
If you were to EV train.. say an Abra in Special attack and it has pokerus while holding a power lens and defeated a golduck, how many EV's would you get from that battle?

Bott is right, the effect of pokerus stays with your pokemon forever, when the purple label goes away it merely means that it is no longer infectious to the others in your party.
In any case, for as long as its in a box, it will not be cured, however it wont spread to others in the box.
On the other hand, every round of battle that you have, there is a one in three chance that pokerus (if in its infectious stage) will spread to the adjacent pokemon in the party.
Thus, if you have one infected, then that spread to the three, the quickest way is to switch positions so that they are on either sides of the remaining, requiring only one more turn to spread it.
=) hope this has been helpful
You should farm Pokerus, and trade off infected pokes to people on the site! I'm sure everyone would appreciate it.

I haven't explicitly farmed it and offered a farming event, but there's a thread in the trade forum where I'm offering pokerus infected rattata for anything.

I believe the answer is: Abra gives 1 EV, so you get (1*2) + 4 = 6 EV
Hmm! You have piqued my interest, and I wish to subscribe to your magazine or newsletter.
