:o Wow, I didn't know it was possible for that Poochyena to be shiny. I had always assumed for some reason that its stats were hardcoded into the game. In any event, that's a big-time bummer, man. :(

On a real related note, I used my Ruby version to collect a few Jirachi off my Colosseum bonus disk a week or two ago (by way of continually starting the game over) and I always feared that I would find a shiny Poke in the grass before I got the Pokédex and the subsequent five Poké Balls, and thus I'd be unable to catch it. Fortunately for my sanity, it never happened. :p

TWF yes it can be shiny. Same as your starter. Lets hope the starter comes shiny. The one pokemon i don`t think ever can turn out shiny is wallys ralts when he catches it.

Yes, I'm well aware that starters can be shiny; however, like I said before, I had always assumed the wild "plotline" Pokes like the Poochyena and Wally's Ralts had hardcoded stats/non-shininess. That thought probably stemmed from the fact that the Lake of Rage Gyarados in GSC - a wild "plotline" Poke - was hardcoded to be shiny.

That sucks :oops: I would be embarrassed if that happened to me. I was soft resetting once and I had a shiny torchic (though I normally choose Treecko)
Scince I have emerald I have never seen a shiny un-catchable Shiny Zigzagoone. However I must admit you were lucky to find it as a shiny.
