Cartoon Network has revealed that they will be airing the 11th Pokemon movie, "Giratina and the Sky Warrior," on Sunday, Feb. 15th at 7pm (prob. 7 E/P, 6 C). This is a pre-showing of the movie before the DVD is released toward the end of March. For those that don't know, this is the second part of the three-part trilogy that takes place over movies #10-12.
I'll be sure to watch! :-D
Sorry if this should be somewhere else; the movies are anime, though... *shrug*

Ha, somehow I missed this post and was looking on Pokemon.com for their shop to buy an Ash Catchem Hat and saw them pushing the new movie today. Have to Tivo it thought as my wife and I are going out on Friday and Sat for valentines day festivities.
Kinda excited to see this one. My Tivo caught the pokemon movie Lucario and the mystery of mew the other day. So sitting watching that kinda gets me in the mood for a new movie to watch. :)

For those of us who have gotten behind in the progress of the Battle Dimension series, Cartoon Network is doing a Presidents' Day marathon from 12pm - 7pm.
*Edit* Actually starts at 6 am.

What? I want that hat! D=<
Where's the shop link!? XD
But yeah, it was a good movie, nicely done, they probably put a lot of money into all those 3D Effects XD

yeah, lol, shaymin shouldn't be able to talk... I think that's pretty stupid, personally... The voice they casted for shaymin sucked anyways...

the voice for skyforme was tailes from Sonic X

are you kidding! I didn't think it sounded like that... well, not the right voice...

I am so in agreement that Shaymin should not talk. I did not like the voice or the personality either:) However, I really enjoyed the move:) I will be watching it again this Sunday;)

02-14-2009, 10:56 AM
yes! I'm so glad that there is a sunday airing!! I missed the first half getting a real shaymin(that doesn't talk XD). I thought the new graphics are sorta annoying because they don't fit in with pokemon... they should just keep the semi-good graphics from before...the new ones don't seem that pokemonish...
I have to say though, that, in the last hour of the show, the story seemed to basic compared to the other movies...

The flying "ship" seemed very Miyazaki'ish. I missed the last 15 minutes, had to get my son ready for bed. I need to see what Regigigas did and if the glacier "issue" was handled.
cowmoo83
02-14-2009, 11:13 AM
the addition of regigigas was so "spur of the moment." I liked the idea of including another legendary too... the mamoswine were cool too XD

yay for movie shaymin using its full moveset
Seed Flare
Substitute
Energy Ball
and lastly, Aromatherapy on Giratina. >.> that to me didn't make any sense at all since the great dragon was low on health and aromatherapy doesn't recover HP!
but whatever, its not metagame so im not all butthurt about that :p:rolleyes:

I'm thinking I might use a Heart Scale to see what other moves can accessed, since I don't see much use for Aromatherapy.
I got pretty upset with Cartoon Network, how they put the last bit of the movie all teeny tiny and sped up. Yeah the credits were running, but there was actually more plot running through, like what happened to the bad guy who before the credits was just kinda left stuck. I made out a few things (like what I just said, what happened to the bad guy) but other stuff was too small and fast-forwardy for me to make it out. I think that was a really dumb move on CN's part.

They do it because they pack their schedule for kids who have low attention spans XD
Every movie they play on CN has fast-forwardy credits except for Scooby-Doo movies LOL
Trombones13
02-14-2009, 04:42 PM
The fast-forwardy stuff always happens in their movie credits, I think. It's kind of annoying... :P
I don't mind it when it's nothing but credits - but when there's more movie going on at the same time as the credits, that's pretty dumb. Denying their audience the ending of the movie... Bleh.

Yeah, Scooby Doo has only the credits, and they aren't sped up XD
If there is something interesting happening the fast forward through it.

yeah, I hated that too... the pokemon movies always have stuff like that at the end and when they fast forward it... you have to guess what it is... plus there is some awesome music...if they would play it... T.T

So I was all set to DVR the re-play of this movie last night...and got it done so it was ready to watch, etc...
Then later on, my Fiance was messing around trying to delete an old episode of Parking Wars...and deleted the Pokemon movie!!
I was like "nice - now we get to wait till March to see it" Thankfully it is being shown again on Wednesday - so it looks like I'll get to wait even longer to get my chance :)
Just thought I'd let ya know about the wednesday showing for those who haven't seen it yet.

i kind of wish that Zero died in he ice...dang. Noe one ( and for a good reason )ever dies in the movies...

the only one that supposedly died was darkrai.
You can't really kill off anything pokemon. just...fainted. LOL
I can't really remember exactly what happened but I was pretty sure it hinted somewhere in the Darkrai movie that he wasn't dead. I might be wrong though.

I just watched this and one thought came to mind during the whole thing.
Ash Ketchum is the WORST pokemon trainer ever!
"Pikachu use thunderbolt!"
uh, hello ash it's a magnezone?! He did this not once but twice.
Ash it's an electric type!
Here's another good one.
"Pikachu, use iron tail!"
Hey Ash Magnezone is a steel type.
Im sure ash would be one to use thunderbolt on Lanturn and go uh? why is lanturn more powerful?!

Here Here!!
Pikachu knows (from memory) Thunderbolt, Volt Tackle, Iron Tail, and Thunder...
That alone is enough to make me cringe...two physical and 2 special attacks, and it doesnt even carry around a light ball...i mean c'mon, seriously Pikachu's EV's must be really messed up.

Did you count, Jimmy? LOL But seriously, though, that is ALL Pikachu ever uses in the anime. So annoying... We should all go wring Ash's neck for being such a poor trainer. LOL :P

@Brady: No, it usually uses Thunderbolt.
xD
From Bulbapedia:
"[Thunderbolt is u]sed by Ash's Pikachu from Showdown at Pewter City! to present. " Showdown at Pewter City! is the fifth episode of the anime, LOL...

yeah, pretty much all 6 billion episodes of anime that they have created... Pikachu does use thunderschock too, right?
