As Nana and I tried to clean up all the damage that the Shuppets had caused, Nana asked me which direction the Shuppets had gone. I told her that they had fled to the north towards the river.
THE RIVER?!?!
Nana had completely forgotten that today was the day that her Chansey met with other Chanseys in the area to practice their synchronized swimming in the river. Apparently the group of Chanseys were well known in the area and loved to perform for the baby Pokémon that Nana took care of.
“We have to go after those darn Shuppets!”
Not really wanting to clean Nana’s house I quickly agreed and we ran as fast as we could towards the river.
Earlier on the river the Chanseys were hard at work practicing there new synchronized swimming routine until they hit a bump in the road. The Chansey’s had been working on the finale of their show but were having difficulty lifting one of their dancers high enough out of the water. What the Chansey’s didn’t realize was that a traveler had been passing by and had seen the wondrous aquatic dancing of the Chansey’s. The stranger had been enjoying the show for quite a while and when she saw the Chansey struggling to accomplish the grand finale, she couldn’t help but to offer the Chansey’s some assistance.
After introducing herself to the group she explained that her grandmother was a move tutor in the Hoenn region and that her grand mother had taught her everything she knew...and she had just the right move in mind for the grand finale! The Chansey’s agreed to the tutoring and placed there lucky eggs and oval stones in a patch of cushy green grass near the river so they would be safe. After a short tutoring session the Chansey’s were eager to try out their new move. The Chansey’s entered the water to practice their routine one more time before calling it a day. The weather had taken a turn for the worse and the storm that had rolled in while they were being tutored looked like it could be a bad one.
The performance was flawless as they reached the grand finale. As the group of Chanseys swam in a circle, two Chanseys swam to the center and the one executed a perfect seismic toss!!! Nana's Chansey flew up high into the air and in its excitement began whipping its tale, which resulted in the Chansey spinning as she flew into the air. As she spun around she gazed at the surrounding scenery…Floaroma Meadow to the south, the river winding from the west, the Fuego Ironworks to the north and a group of Shuppets stealing the Chanseys lucky eggs and oval stones to the east!
“CHANSEY!” “CHANSEY!!” “CHANSEY!!!”
As the now free falling Chansey screamed at the horrific site in front of her the other Chanseys and the traveler looked to see what was going on, coincidentally causing the falling Chansey to plummet into the water.
SPLASH!!!
It was just about then that Nana Nettie and I reached the riverbank and saw the Chanseys, Shuppets, and the traveler...
Momtaro?!? Is that you?
It turns out that Momtaro had been on her way to see Nana Nettie when she was stopped at the site of the Chansey’s dance. She had just come from an adventure in the Hoenn region, climbing the cliffs of Mount Chimney and had purchased some lava cookies from the old woman on the top of the mountain. Lava cookies are a local delicacy that cures a Pokémon of all status abnormalities.
Momtaro had become friends with Nana Nettie long ago when Nana was still a gym leader in the Hoenn region. When Nana Nettie moved to Sinnoh they still wrote back and forth but it had been a while since they had seen each other. After purchasing the Lava cookies Momtaro decided it would be fun to pay Nana a visit and bring her some of Nana’s favorite treats to give Pokémon…well aside from her own brownies of course.
As the Chanseys raced to the river’s edge to fight the thieving Shuppets, a bolt of lightning came down from above and struck the river causing an electric wave to hit all of the Chanseys in the water. Paralyzed from the massive volts of electricity the Chanseys helplessly watched the Shuppets as they escaped from what could have been an awesome battle.
Momtaro called out her trusty Bidoof to assist her in rescuing the defenseless Chansey. Nana and I also came to the aid of Momtaro and quickly got all the Chanseys safely ashore. It was sad though, even when they were completely paralyzed the Chanseys still struggled to peruse the Shuppets. As we watched the Shuppets flee toward the Fuego Ironworks Momtaro volunteered to stay behind and take care of the Chanseys and told Nana and I to continue our pursuit of the Shuppets.
The storm was really getting nasty; the wind was whipping at high speeds and the lightning strikes were continuing to come down. Momtaro needed trainers that could give these Chanseys some shelter from the storm. I’m sure that our friends at the Pokefarm could help her out.
Knowing moves like Aromatherapy, Toxic, Tail Whip, and Seismic Toss I’m sure any trainer would open their doors and let these Bold Chanseys stay with them. In fact to sweeten the deal Momtaro has even given each of the Chanseys a Lava Cookie to help them with a speedy recovery in their new home.

Please post on this thread if you would like to adopt one of these dancing Chanseys and leave your Name & Friend Code so Momtaro, Nana Nettie or I can contact you.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
