I'm guessing it was orange boy (celph77) XD He sent me a PM that sounds identical to yours. I promise I'll battle you once I find the time orange man! XD

Yeah that sounds right. How could I forget Agent Orange. I might have to take him up on his offer. I got my second batch of 30 Pokemon waiting to get IV tested before I go into the 3rd stage of trying to mix in the Nature I want with the high IV's. Then I have to work on the other Pokemon that I will be egg move breeding from to keep the Pokemon strong. This Minor Market Event of mine is going to take awhile to get the Pokemon built up. I am trying to give out Pokemon with 3+ 31 IV's. I have a few now with 3 IV's at 31, but one of the 31 IV's is in HP which is not a reliable IV to pass on to the babies. For some reason HP IV's transfer from the parents less times then the other stats. Defense is second on the list as hardest to pass along. I got a list from one of the guides I look at from time to time.

Inherited IV's List

HP: 8.02% chance of being inherited
Atk: 19.55% chance of being inherited
Def: 13.78% chance of being inherited
SpAtk: 19.55% chance of being inherited
SpDef: 19.55% chance of being inherited
Speed: 19.55% chance of being inherited

Lol...yeah it was me....lol....i'll re-PM the message to you. Thanks for saying something....:)....Patience has never been a virtue for me.

::Edit::

Thanks for that list. I've been learning on breeding from all of your threads. I have all of your lists and data saved on my hard drive for easy access. I guess I'm like a hardcore breeder in training...lol. And you are my indirect sensei.

I almost forgot. I use this offline Pokedex from MetalKid's Gaming Resources. He is still working on the Diamond/Pearl version of it, but he has a nice calculator for IV's there. It is made for the rare candy breeder like me, but it is kinda slow if you have a lot of Pokemon to check. It goes level by level and tells you what level you need to get to for an accurate reading. I was doing the rare candy on a regular calculator and at level 50 it still gave me ranged numbers for the IV's like 26-29. With MetalKids I can get 100% IV number at level 24 for the Poke I am breeding now. I'll give you a link and you guys can test it out and see what you think.

MetalKid's IV Calculator (http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/OnlineProgram/Calculators/IV.aspx).

I've seen this one before while googling for an IV calculator, but I never really examined it. Now I can see how much this makes my life easier. I can scrap the caveman style of using pen and paper like I did previously and start using this. Once again, thank you sensei!

::EDIT:: I'm sure Bugzy has enough wisdom to share for both of us...>.<

Eh, good point. XD But how do you pass down strong IVs with such low percentages? @.@

I'm sure Buzz can give you a better explanation...but mine is as follows:

It is a tedious process. You have to keep breeding until you have parents with IV's you want and than you keep breeding to get even better parents for your future offspring. The amount of cycles depend on far you are willing to go to get max IVs.

Yeah... I don't have Buzz's diligence... XD What about the Rare Candy thing? Xd

As Buzz will probably note in a couple minutes, the higher the level of the pokemon, the easier it is to determine the IV of each stat. You save the game, use as many rare candies as you have on the hatched pokemon, record the stats, restart the game, and do it again to another pokemon. You then plug in the stats in a forumla or progam and get your IVs.

An alternative to rare candying is IV Battling which is much more efficient but requires 2 people.

Using Rare Candies to level up and then check IV's is very time consuming. It does speed up once you are past the point that the Pokemon does not learn anymore moves. Plus always make sure it holds an Everstone, it saves from having to go threw the evolution animation. At most when breeding for IV's you get 3 random IVs from the 2 Parents. So if the parents have 3 good IV's each, chances are your baby will get 3 good ones from the parents. Then luck comes into play on the other 3 stats. But like celph77 said, it all depends on how deep you want to take it. Some people are happy IV breeding 1 or 2 rounds of 30 eggs each. If they can get 2 max IV's in the 2 stats they want they are happy. Which this is usually my goal as well, but at the same time I am a speed stat freak. I will try to make a Nosepass fast. I think the Pokemon I am breeding now is going to have a high % of 3 IVs at 30 or 31. I may breed another go of 30 Pokemon just to see if I can get them to be all 3x 31 IV's and maybe luck into a 4th. Well I will have to do a 3rd or 4th round just to work in the nature I want. I tried doing the Nature after the 1st round, but all the females with the Nature I wanted had terrible IV's.

BTW, you should post all of these informative paragraphs onto your site in an organized manner. It would be the ultimate breeding resource!

That is true. I almost forgot and was going to save today. That would have ate up 41 rare candies in a bad IV Pokemon. I got notebooks full of Poke stats. I want a laptop so when I am away from the pc I can just record it and go he-he. I was thinking of buying a 2nd DS just for doing the IV battle. I owe my son a new one anyway heh.

I have rambled so much in this forum, that it would take me weeks to dig up all my post and copy the info. I think anymore I just like the sound of my own voice. Yes I talk out loud to myself when I write.

But yeah, It'd be a lot more convenient if you had them on your site, that way, I wouldn't have to bookmark all the threads with your advice on my PSP >.<

OMG this Wi-Fi level 100 battles rock for IV collecting. I tell you once I got it together and stopped slowing celph down it was awesome. Also that is great that both players need to select run to end the battle. That makes it even faster for IV collecting. OMG it is awesome. I got to check 12 of my little bugs and went straight to the IV calculator. Check these bugs out.

2(F) Adamant +ATK -SP.ATK

HP - 30 IV
ATK - 17 IV
DEF - 25 IV
SP.ATK - 27 IV
SP.DEF - 31 IV
SPD - 30 IV

11(F) Calm +SP.DEF -ATK

HP - 11 IV
ATK - 4 IV
DEF - 14 IV
SP.ATK - 30 IV
SP.DEF - 31 IV
SPD - 30 IV

Bug #11 has horrible HP, ATK, and DEF, but man look at that SP.ATK, SP.DEF, and SPD.
Bug #2 is like my new hero.

Parents were actually not very good. I had some Yanma on Pokemon Box and Pal Parked. So thankful for the random IV's.
