I knew that title would draw you in. This thread is to talk about your latest great IV bred Pokémon. I know not many people breed for IVs and I hope this thread will change that.
Some terms to know
IV = Individual Value: Every stat your Pokémon has is made up by this number. IVs range from 0-31. 31 being the highest and 0 the lowest value.
RNG = Random Number Generated: Whenever an egg is created the Pokémon inside is assigned 6 random IVs. It then goes threw the process of having 3 of those IVs replaced by 3 IVs from the parents. Only 3 IVs will pass from the parents and it can be 2 from the mother and 1 from the father, 2 from the father and 1 from the mother, and even all 3 from one parent. It can also look like at times that less then 3 IVs were passed down, this is due to the fact that sometimes the same stat IV can be selected as the IV to be passed down.
IV Battles: IV battles are battles that just check your Pokémon's stats. You basicly select a Wi-Fi battle at level 100 and then you go to your Pokémon's summary page and write down the stats. After you record all the stats for your Pokémon, you just run from the battle.
IV Calculator: This is what you will use to find your IVs. First you select your Pokémon and it's Nature. Then you input the level(which should always be 100 if you did an IV battle) and then input the stats you wrote down for that Pokémon. Hit calculate and there are your IVs along with that Pokémon's Hidden Power. Also important is to input EVs into the calculator, but since you should be checking fresh hatched Pokémon, the EVs should be 0.
EV = Effort Values: Basicly every time you fight a Pokémon you gain some type of EV. Every 4 EVs equal 1 stat point. You can only put 510 EVs on a single Pokémon and can only put 255 EVs into one stat. Since it takes 4 EVs to make one stat point, the most you would want to put into one stat would 252 EVs. Also using Vitamins like Iron will give 10 EVs for every Vitamin the Pokémon eats. With a maximum per stat of 10 Vitamins. Also if you gain EVs before eating Vitamins you cannot go past 100 EVs, so if you EVd to say 80, you could only eat 2 Vitamins then. There is a maximum of 51 Vitamins that can be given to a single Pokémon, but that would equal 510 EVs.

You can find what EVs every Pokémon gives, as well as an IV Calculator at these two sites.
There are other sites as well. If you find a site that has EV listings or IV calculators, let me know and I can add them to this list.
